Pentax K-70: Using K, M, and M42 Manual Lenses

It works the same on most Pentax cameras to enable using the Apature ring. Using the green button only works on later Pentax cameras as the earlier cameras do not have a green button

Interesting. I got a K70 and using manual Pentax 50mm and 24mm for small still life. I just set it on a tripod, set to Manual, set iso to 100, set lens to highest f number, plug in cable release, focus with lens , take a picture then adjust exposure time up or down/change f stop according to the after image. I didn't use any of the other settings suggested here. All the pictures came out fine. Then do post production with Photoshop

My newer K 70 has 5 pages, on page 4, the last line is INPUT FOCAL LENGTH, it is not highlighted and not accessible. What did I miss?

Se ho capito bene il tuo problema è che non puoi impostare la lunghezza focale dal menù, immagino che non puoi farlo perché non hai messo un obiettivo manuale, quelli con il vecchio innesto K. Se monti un obiettivo manuale ti chiederà subito, all'accensione, di indicare la focale dell'obiettivo.

Is the focal length the highest number on the lens? My lens is a Sigma Zoom 100-200mm 1:4.5 f:4.5 Lens. Do I set it to 200mm? My camera is a Pentax K-x.

On the K-x, you do not need to enter focal length with an automatic lens. Make sure the lens aperture ring is sent to A for automatic. The electrical contacts should communicate the focal length.
