I love the cut of your dresses;the darts are well placed and the pleats are perfect and offer as much room for movement as your activities require. Your jackets top off your dresses perfectly. I realize your attire is one of your traditions, but whoever designed your basic pattern developed a perfect garment. I imagine you/your mom also further adapted the pattern to fit your unique bodies-bottom line is that you all look so very nice in your attire. ❤️

Pentecost was fully come when the disciples tarried in an upper room in Jerusalem after Jesus told them to go their and wait until they are endued with power from on high. The Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit is meant for each and every person. Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost is an incredible experience and a sign that you have received it is speaking in a language you’ve never spoken before. Just like all those did in the upper room - they tarried and prayed and a wind filled the room and cloven tounges was on each of them After that experience - they went to the streets and begin preaching the gospel of Jesus - and as they prayed with boldness throughout the book of acts - many signs and wonders were done and all those that heard it and believed were filled with the Holy Ghost I love you and your community’s dedication to the things of the Bible and your commitment to His Word - awesome! But all of us were meant to experience the gift of the Holy Ghost so we can be filled with His power and live a life that is victorious in Him and influencing those who don’t know the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love your videos!

To clarify your discussion with your mom about the Jewish Holiday celebrated on June 6th (12:30): The holiday is called Shavuot. Shavuot means weeks in Hebrew. It falls seven weeks after Passover (exactly fifty days after the first day of Passover)). While it is sometimes referred to as Pentecost due to its timing after Passover, ("pentecost" meaning "fifty" in Greek), it is not the same as the Christian Pentecost. The holiday celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai as well as the grain harvest for the summer. In biblical times, Shavuot was one of three pilgrimage festivals in which all the Jewish men would go to Jerusalem and bring their first fruits as offerings to God. Today, we celebrate Shavuot by going to synagogue to hear the 10 Commandments, having festive meals of dairy foods, staying up all night to learn and reading the Book of Ruth.

It makes sense that for Hutterites, you celebrate beginning of communal living at Pentecost. I am Catholic. We celebrate when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and they went out to spread the Gospel. This is the beginning of the Church. It makes sense that Hutterites would add the beginning of their unique version of the beginning of their church. People have lived in communities and helped one another since our beginning. We can live alone, especially today, but I still believe we were meant to live in communities, whether open or closed.

13:04 re: Pentecost meaning the start of communal living. That is interesting, is there specific verse references you could point me towards that addresses the communal living? I would like to study more on that. What I’ve learned and read about Pentecost is that it is when the Holy Spirit (and authority) was taken from behind the vail and given to us as believers to perform his works.

Wonderful vlog, Giselle! Pentecost as the beginning of Christians living in communities: love that!❣I so enjoyed hearing the Hutterisch being used in conversation: the translation helps😇I agree, the dresses are lovely and I'm particularly fond of the red and deep purple-blue fabrics. I wish had a pattern so that I could sew some of my own. The weather is so hot now it would give me some air conditioned projects to do.

A pastor said during a sermon i watched that on the day of Pentecost, there was actually a Jewish feast/holiday going on which is why there was so many people in Jerusalem. I forget what it was, though, just that it's the one that's like 50 days after Passover. I want to say it celebrates the giving of the law at Mt. Sinai but my memory could be wrong. It's very symbolic, i think. Cause Pentecost is when God gave us the holy spirit.

I missed this video. I very much enjoyed the cycle ride with you. The apple blossom is so lovely. I also love it later in the day when the trees are buzzing with bees. Your spring is a lot later, our apples are already more than a couple of centimeters. The spring leaves on your trees are so lovely. I love the diaphanous effect. I am starting to get raspberries and putting my Zucchini plants outside, I get to my veggie plot at 6 am, it is nice and cool for working then, hoping for some rain soon. Went again at 8pm planted out beans plants hope the slugs do not eat them. It is 29C outside so I am staying inside but it is very windy so I am going to put on some washing, nice and sunny too so with pv electricity it will be free. You have some lovely dress fabrics this week. I enjoyed the singing. Have you tried your nettle tea on plants, it makes a very good fertiliser? Making a tea with the flowers is good too, it tastes better.

This is another beautiful and interesting video. Thanks again for sharing parts of your life with us. I asked the Lord Jesus to baptize me in the Holy Ghost long ago when I was 33. Ironically, it just happened to be the weekend of Pentecost at midnight beginning Pentecost Sunday. The following midnight at the closing of Pentecost Sunday I began to thank Him and give Him praise for the wonderful gift of His Spirit. This is when I began to speak in the gift of tongues praising God. I had already been born again and baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit and baptized by a pastor as profession of my faith. But this baptism of the Holy Spirit is given by Jesus Himself as promised. His cousin, John, had said, “But there is One coming after me whose sandals I’m not worthy to latch. He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” I’m so grateful to God for saving me through Christ alone. Our salvation through Him is forever the greatest gift.

We had an arts' festival here today. I went with my mom and uncle (my mom's brother). We packed stuff to eat, which was better that way. The lines were really long for food, and the prices were too high. I liked the live music. We didn't even look at the art, but we walked along the river, there were a few walking bridges. There were people kayaking. My arms are a little red because I forgot to put on sunscreen. I watched Hillsong Pentecost Sunday (Saturday night - because they are in Australia, online). I wouldn't have bought anything at the festival anyways.

The Pentecost as I understand it, is many of the disciples got together to pray in an upper room of a house. Then the Holy Spirit fell on them and they started to speak and pray in other languages or Tongues. It was to show that any follower of Jesus who has the Holy Spirit living within them can ask for this gift and it is a prayer language between you and God. There is also speaking in Tongues which involves addressing the Church where someone else must have to have the gift of interpretation in order to give the message from God to the people. And you do not have to have these gifts to be a Christian, they are there if you ask the Lord and He gives it. 😊💖 Thank you for another wonderful vlog!
