Thank you Fr Peter & Christ keep you ☦️ a former Protestant, I've never heard such deep (heavy) truth of God's unity, given to us through the restoration (birth) of His church. The 'timeless'/'one time' event of Pentecost portrayed with such God fueled wisdom. Yet another layer of precious truth (mercy) to secure God's call to His way home through His body, the Orthodox Church. Lord, have mercy on me, the sinner☦️

I've read about it said/written by some saint - and my own opinion: just like holly images are blasphemy outside properness, icons used just as paintings (I believe it's wording from either 6th or 7th ecumenical council), so are holly chants. Those are not songs, those are prayers.

The Ecumenical Patriarch? Are you canonical Orthodox? He may have a lot of issues and cause a lot of friction in the Church, but that's not the Orthodox response. Schism is a lot worse than heresy. Take a deep breath, relax and pray for him. Remember that we're finite beings and every person's life in this world will eventually end. And personal grudges will end with this. Patience and Faith to His Church
