As someone who lives in Penzance it was a nice change to see someone travelling from Penzance to Paddington rather than the other way around ( most videos). Please come and see us again and stay a bit longer ( maybe on the Night Riviera?).BTW..We have quite a big station I think for a,town of 25,000 people only

I'll be back definitely, probably arriving with the Nigh Reviera and departing with Cross Country to Aberdeen (maybe the ferry from Aberdeen to Lerwick from there on?) Also the ferry to the Isle of Scilly would be nice as well (and also something I can do as as normal holiday, my better half might like that as well). Also St. Ives what's not too far away is on my list to visit for some relaxed days. Actually I was planning to take the UK longest train from here, however that train only went to Edinburgh on that day and if I wanted to split it up in 2 video's I could only start traveling the next day rather late, so that's why I went for this train.

@@Trainviking Penzance is a dignified hard working old town. It has its charm but the B and B across the road from the station is not the best example of what the town has to offer!! (Be careful when you bring your better half!). St Ives is incredibly cute but in the summer it's incredibly busy. The Isles of Scilly are beautiful and you sail can across or you can take the helicopter but that's very expensive. Look forward to seeing you and the video that will, of course, follow. Take care

@@Trainviking there is no direct CrossCountry service to Aberdeen from Penzance (northbound); there is only Aberdeen to Penzance in one direction (southbound), so if you want the longest train then you'd have to do it the other way round, starting at Aberdeen.

Fantastic video and hope you enjoyed your journey. I love in Bristol and like the GWR trains and staff. Random question the song. What is it? Love it. Thank youi

Haha the song, I know. I actually used AI for this. Just give it a try. Although I'm not a big fan of AI (I like real), for some music it's actually really good. I used it for one background song in some Morocco video's, on the most recent European Sleeper video and on the London - Glasgow video as well. For music I'm a kind of fine with it, however for the video's itself I will always use real content.

@@Trainviking lol genius. I thought it awfully specific 👍. Yeap noticed the same on your other videos. It is not bad at all 👍

Interestingly, the seats in standard class are the same type as what you'll find on some NS Sprinter and S-Bahn units (yes, commuter train seats on a long distance intercity train) while the first class seats are exactly the same type as 2nd class on the German ICE 2 units.
@Trainviking4 ай бұрын
Are they the same as the ICE2? I really missed out on that haha. I have to say, the 2nd class seats are not bad, although the new NS sprinters are also fine to be honest.
@AymanTravelTransport2 ай бұрын
@@Trainviking yeah, I've sampled both seats and can confirm they're the same type of seat (Fainsa MD). To be fair, the 2nd class seats (Fainsa Sophia) are okay for journeys up to 2 hours in my opinion, although they get a bad rep for being rock solid compared to the 2nd class seats of the trains they replaced. Even though they're a bit on the firm side, the spaciousness almost makes up for it, but the main issue is the fact these are seats intended for commuter trains placed in an intercity product.
