In 2021 I went to a plastic surgeon in downtown San Francisco for a lipo consultation. As I was waiting for the doctor, I could hear someone moaning and screaming in agony. This went on for minutes and minutes until she came in and told me all about the new laser lipo. After my consultation, I had to ask if the screaming I was hearing might be from the same procedure I was interested in, and she said it was. It turned out to be a guy who had scar tissue from cool sculpting, and he was trying to get the lumps fixed but he had to be awake for the procedure. I thought it was a woman. 😢 She advised that I NEVER get coolsculpting because I have deep, webbed stretch marks and I would end up with major scar tissue.

I knew way back in 2012 that CoolSculpting was a scam. The medical office where I did medical billing was right next door to a spa that did it. When I tell you women were going into that place like it was a nail salon, it was always booked and busy. The people who worked there refused to get the treatment and I always questioned them why (they wouldn’t say) but they were always trying to sell to the women in the office where I worked.

During the procedure it just felt like a scam, uncomfortable & I felt so dumb falling into to the trend. Some of us do exercise & drink water…I did it for 6x a week for 4 months. What's really sad is a lot of the people doing this.Don't even need to like it's minimal stuff makes me sad for them because I'm like you're beautiful love. It's okay to be a little curvy.A little this little that it's like societal standards is like nope....

Thank you for this video, it was helpful to see this. I have considered this procedure many times and I am grateful that I have never done it. I don't understand how this company can continue to offer this procedure when it is proven to cause so many issues and complications that are permanent! That seems to be intentionally harmful which goes against the first oath in medicine of do no harm. In terms of weight loss and personal choices, another aspect to consider is sometimes there is a medical reason we are not losing weight. So if you are really investing the energy and doing healthy habits and still not losing weight, make sure to get yourself checked out medically and make sure there's nothing else contributing to that.
