I think the tone of Lynnea's voice fits better with the song in general more than anyone else who covered it. If anyone is not trained in whistles they could seriously ruin their voice. @@TheGothamEmpire I don't know if this will help bcuz I don't know how it happened for me but it did... so a whistle note is kinda like a cross of a vocal fry and only letting the smallest amount of air escape from your front vocal flaps. A while should never hurt or strain you. Try whistling by whistling back into your throat instead of force out like regular singing. I hope this helps. Sorry if it doesn't I'm only 12 sooo...

Haley actually wasn't doing whistle notes. She was mixing head voice/flageolet, which sounds MUCH better than whistle notes in my opinion. It sounded kinda similar to a whistle because of her glottal onset at the beginning. Ari uses glottal onsets a lot (see The Way high notes) because it is much easier to start the note that way.
