Dad’s a retired biochemistry professor. Aunt taught the intellectually disabled side of special education but read the ADHD literature. I have a History degree and have used Ritalin by prescription (they had adequate work arounds and control of work space so didn’t pursue it). We applaud his care in applying the break to his impulsivity, having each independently walked through this to the same “huh, this is easier on the 2 afternoons a week that, hmm. The issue with nuclear power as far as i'm aware is it's safe, as long as you follow the rules and don't cut corners, but when it goes wrong it goes really wrong. And you'll notice people tend not to follow the rules and they tend to cut corners after a while, which tends to make it unsafe. Basically people screw it up and because we know people will screw it up eventually, and when they do things will go vary badly, it's just easier not to lean on nuclear power.

I've met Levar Burton a number of times, casually as buddies/aquaintainces.
