There in fact 2 sponges. There is also Thought Sponge. I only know this because I have an EDH deck that is exclusively just "the sea creatures that get forgotten". The deck runs sponges, nautiluses, squid, whales, etc. Basically everything Ula's temple forgets about

For the -1/-2 counters Thoralf starts saying they are from Contagion before Carl quickly continues. However, it actually gives -2/-1 counters which is a bit less powerful, but it can still kill a Psychatog if needed in a best deck ever tournament.

Love these little quiz/game shows. Can't wait for more. Also, cannot wait for "LESSER USED TRIBE BATTLE!" Siltai Oozes (no changelings, that's cheating) v Jund Spiders v Naya Minotaurs v Grixis Insects Just a few tribes that came to mind that I feel we don't see enough in MTG. Especially in regards to Oozes. Would love to see my goopy little Ooze lads CONSUME the competition. (I know that it was mentioned to be kept in mind, but I'm annoying and impatient c: )

tl;dr one of my friends had a japanese blood artist and i just discovered in this video it doesn't drain each opponent I was once playing Commander with some friends. We're all quite inexperienced, and one of my friends (let's call him Joe) casts a Blood Artist in Japanese (because it was cheaper to buy). Everyone but him was at less than 30 life, and Joe had like 10 1/1 spirit tokens and a card with "whenever you gain life, each opponent loses that much life", alongside Teysa Karlov and an Ashnod's Altar kind of effect. He sacced all of his tokens. None of us knew Japanese and were like "wait... does Blood Artist target or does it say each" and Joe was like "I think it says each". That meant we all died to his Blood Artist triggers. Seeing BA in this video as a "modified" card I thought "oh this is so easy, it's each instead of target opponent" and then seeing Carl say the error was in the art made me SO angry.

That's Zulaport Cutthroat, but that only triggers when your own creatures die. So either it triggers for each player but you only drain one, or it triggers for only you but it drains all opponents, that's the decision you have to make, more lifegain or more lifeloss. Zulaport Cutthroat is also a lot cheaper than Blood Artist.

Salvat/Hachette is one of my favorite sets partially bc the Set Logo is so random and for being a bunch of out of place white border cards. Also it would be a hilarious photoshop challenge to show someone a Salvat card and have them figure out what it even is

I keep thinking the Price round could be even more exciting if the points were based on how much closer you are. Like, if your guess is six times further away than your opponent's, your opponent gets six points. If you guess the exact price, infinite points for you.

the fumble on contagion, LOL. i thought that part would have been WAYa lot longer. mire myr could have been the myr that taps for black. didn't know the sponge. i would have gotten 12 points. 1st wrong, 2nd, 3rd right, (2 points) 4, would have gotten way more counters then thoralf, since he failed early. (3 points) 5th right, (4 points) 6 would have gotten dauthi voidwalker on 3 points (7 points) 7: right, why are the rose pattles on the art if no rose is seen? (8 points) 8: wrong. mire myr could have been the myr that taps for black. didn't know the sponge. (8) 9, would have gotten thassas on 3 points. (11) 10: thought dockside would be around 65€ (12 points total)

Question 1: I though it was A, but instead of telling us that the fake one is based on a hockey logo (I assumed you just made up a fake logo), you should tell us what sets the real ones are from. A is apparently from a very obscure starter set from 2005 only released in Italy, France, Spain and the UK that wasn't even released by WotC, but by Salvat in collaboration with Hasbro. You won't find it on most lists of Magic set symbol, so I'm surprised so many people got the answer, guess they must have been from one of those four countries. B I thought was C19 but just mirror image, C I did recognize, but was never actually printed on a card, so would also be hard to recognize, I only recognized it because I digitalized my cards, it's Chronicles. D is Baldur's Gate Commander. Question 2: Thoral guessed correctly that it was Hypersonic Dragon, but that was not the question, he held up the wrong picture so he would have gotten that one wrong. So did I though, mostly because I thought Niv-Mizzet was being contained and that didn't seem like something featured on a Niv-Mizzet card. But it was actually a shield representing hexproof. Question 3: I think I'd do well in this, having looked up a list of all counters a few days ago. I'd name the keyword counters pretty early because as soon as you name one, your opponent will catch on to them, but I'd reserve Shadow because they might not think of that one. I'd stay away from the old +/1 counters for the exact reason Thoralf showed. Question 4 and 5 were pretty easy. Question 6: I knew it was a Dauthi, but I'd have to guess. The video beat me to it before I could guess a random Dauthi. Consider Dauthi Voidwalker was named earlier in the counters question it's likely I would have gone for that one as well though. Question 7 got me confused, I was thinking Blood Artist was male, and I guess that's because I play the original one. Question 8: I was with Thoralf here, but B was my second guess. C and D I knew 100% were correct. Question 9: My guess was Mirari. But guess it was more zoomed in than I thought. Question 10: I went with €50, going for a round number, I did think it was more likely higher than 50 than below so I should have guessed higher. So guess I'd have 5 points.

I though I was doing decently, I even knew that Kodama´s reach was printed in Kamigawa my favorite block, I believe its champions of Kamigawa to be more precise and it was clearly a spell of Kami therefore it had to be arcane (nice try though), Niv was easy though I didnt recalled name, I even got the card guess from first picture it its clearly a shadow card and shadow(there is only about ~23 shadow cards in black) is usually connected with black my favorite color per the art and the only "shadow hand" on a tree? is Dauthi Voidwalker...then it went to hell. I though that Blood Artis was honesty fine though I am not playing for a while so I didnt know about the new art to be fair, I ultimatly though it was Common or 1/2..well I was wrong at that. The card name? Piece of cake. Frog was printed after I rotated back in 2011~ or so, it was printed later, but one of the nasty limited card was it..2015? Brushwaggs are so rare that it had to be a bait..leving only Sponge and Mire. Considering that Myr Sire was printed and its name is pronouced rather simiiarly I though yuore banking on that so 50/50 more favoring Mire. Afterwards I derped on Oracle..I was like orb....sphere...That could be Trinishphere oh man I never was so wrong before...I should had knew because its blue and such a cheesy win card, but yeah I dont play anymore...and finally I overshoot the pirate, I though hes really powerful especially in comander...So I guessed 72.34. Considering I was 10 off It wasnt that bad, but Thoralf guessed it way better. So I guess I would be ultimatly..arround 8-9 murbles? I wasnt counting tbf.Well I think about 3 mistakes is not a bad result on a guy who quit long time ago (and even more exlucing commander).
