It doesn’t inflict poison. It causes rot. It does extra damage to enemies already inflicted with rot or poison.

I put it on a poisen scythe. The reach of the scythe keeps people at arms length and the ashe of war can initiate and hit farther ranges that the scythe struggles with. Great combo

Want a cool edgy dark knight look? Helm of Solitude, Unaltered Night's Cavalry armor, Fill in the gloves and boots with any dark armor you prefer. I use Night's Cavalry Gauntlets and Solitude Greaves. Edgy as hell, but I love it.

Paired with Obsidian Lamina, Two handed Talisman and Shard of Alexander there's little in PvE that should trouble you. PvP is different, but nothing makes someone panic as much as knocking them halfway across the map

I find your vids so much more entertaining than others because you don't omit losses, win some lose some, all are fun. The close victories and losses (and draws lmao) are where the fun is in PvP, and all the funky builds you see (son of bayle, aerith "support", etc).

The armor set does look cool, but it makes the character's head look smaller than usual. I'm not sure why some of FromSoft's helmets do this. Dark Souls 3 had a helmet or two with this effect too.

I’m running the solitude armor and greatsword, pretty easy to build for. High poise, and out of the many great swords in the game this weapon has the highest AR in pure physical, so you will most likely outride everything even some colossals. Top it off the ash of war is reliable as it has a ranged attack to punish heals, a follow attack to true combo low poise enemies, that also has great tracking to even redirect to another enemy to punish gank aggression. As basic as the setup is, it is currently my sweatiest meta build to date, and it’s super fun to play

What I love is your commitment to the build. I hotswap on my main character, where I have everything, and I coldswap or stick to a build like you on my lower levelled characters. Elden Ring is my first and only Fromsoft game that I've played so far; you and Chase have influenced my playstyle the most. Two different flavours. My go to is a mix of you and Chase now. Cold swaps and sticking to a build to start off with, and if the invasion gets cancerous, I've learnt to hotswap as well. So delightful. Thanks, Lost!

What I wanna see from either you or Chase is a boss battle! Start off with the Dryleaf Arts, cold swap to something a bit heavier, and then hotswap to a weapon with a finisher like the Greatsword of Damnation. That's been my playstyle as of late and I haven't lost with it yet! (Pun fully intended)

Many weapons are slept on in elden ring. The trouble is there are over 300 weapons in elden ring and only 27 larval tears to respec. Ounce you get a build that works for you people tend to stick with it. There are so many weapons that don't work well against certain bosses too so it's either stick with a build you know is good or use a larval tear to respec a different build. I don't know why we don't get a larval tear for co-op boss fight rewards.

You keep opening the menu to use the first four items in your bar, the point of those first 4 slots as indicated by the directional inputs on them is to hot bar them as in holding Y or Triangle and then inputting the direction as indicated to use them. You do not need to keep opening your menu to use them apart from the bottom 2 slots.

The only problem I have had with this game is that none of the sombre great swords fight like the knights great sword and banished knights great sword , the style to them two swords is just better , I just love the knights great sword with piercing fang it works so well together , think at least 1 or 2 sombre style swords should have that style , heathens steeple for example would make that sword more interesting

This sword is absolutely an unsung hero. The damage negation is compriable to some shields, you put one on your back for a passive and 2hand that sumbitch! Then its got a projectile for an L2?! Amazing with the new 2handed tali and the curved sword tali.
