For the first story, I've had the nutty sauce, it smells insane. Literally can smell nuts a mile away. Co-workers who were next to him when he ate could probably be witnesses to this. If this woman was dumb enough to eat a stranger's food while having allergies, I think she still would have smelled the sauce. Statistically yes you could have killed her, but moraly she was in the wrong. Karma just did its job right.

Even if the OP found out who was stealing her food and somehow knew the person was allergic to peanuts claiming they "poisoned" the food is farfetched. The OP can eat peanuts and the meal was theirs to eat. People with peanut allergies are supposed to be aware of their food intake. Peanut sauce has a strong peanut smell and looks like a thin peanut butter spread. The boss's daughter should have been more aware than blindly eating someone else's food and assuming she's not allergic. Plus I would leave the job anyways if no one in management took the food stealing seriously and then became icy when the OP's food was stolen and it caused an allergic reaction.

When I was still working at my local Walmart a few years back. There was suddenly a new change of cleanup policy regarding the refrigerator in the breakroom. Anything not labeled with a purchase date on the product with the associate's name of who it belongs to, got thrown in the trash every night when overnight maintenance starts their shift. (before covid happened Walmarts were obviously still open 24). Associates weren't following that rule so the fridges (there was 2) were always full of random condiments, lunchboxes, drinks, etc. So here's the lucky thing, the day shift could buy their own lunches and be fine with it in the fridge. The overnight crew however, weren't so lucky. The "maintenance manager" decided to just pull the garbage can over and pull EVERYTHING out of the fridges and dump them in said garbage. It didn't matter if the overnight crew just BOUGHT their lunch and just set it in there or that they had a lunch bag in there from home. Everything went. Eventually they complained and the overnight ASM told them to start following proper procedure and to label their items with the date of purchase and their name to stop the overnight maintenance manager from throwing away their stuffs. They did. The overnight MM didn't give a f about it. He just continued to chuck people's lunch away to "clean up the fridge" as he was told, regardless of that written policy to prevent it from being thrown out. I swear this dude had no common sense at all. He was also the idiot who went around blacking out instruction manuals and containers of cleaning product so that the day maintenance could not read them to follow procedure or even know what the product was even for or even the name of the product. Talk bout vandalizing your own workplace *sighs*. And then he tried to pin that blame on the day maintenance people because "I don't have time to go around with a black permanent marker to blackout words." Yeah, who doesn't want to punch him?

Bro, the first story…I really don’t like people who steal food. I work in retail and I keep it in my car. It’s a cup of instant noodles and I can cook it in the break room microwave. I refuse to leave it in the break room because I’ve had it stolen from me before. I never caught who did it. And I would always put my name on it. The managers have asked me why I don’t just keep it in the break room and I told them, “Because I’d rather not risk someone stealing it.”

Idk about the second one- I'm a pretty athletic person and walks everyday are normal but two hours?? And out of the blue too. Hmmm. On the first story, the only way the OP is in the wrong is if the boss told everybody that because someone in the office has extreme peanut allergies, please do not bring food containing peanuts to the office. (And btw, I think most people know this but just in case, someone can have a peanut allergy and NOT be allergic to nuts, because technically peanuts are not nuts.) Even transfer (touching the outer packaging, if the person who packed it had a little on their hands) can be very dangerous to people with this kind of allergy. But if they were not informed of the allergy, they really shouldn’t have to be looking out for someone who might STEAL their lunch. That’s nuts (sorry)!

Her fault for being a thief, and her father's for excusing this behavior. The 5am walker. What is happening around that time that he needs to be in the area to see it. Is he a peeping tom, catching someone getting dressed or showering. I see no other reason why a person would be so upset except for being deprived of his daily "hobby" of spying on someone. I do have a few questions I agree the woman who stole food was in the wrong completely and should've just asked instead of stealing, but were the incidents where there had been left in the fridge and it was up for grabs? I heard a few bad incidents where a person food was stolen but they had the same/similar Tupperware to the ones that weren't left and forgotten about - it slowly changed because people were starting to complain about the fridge being overcrowded, food being stolen, food being left to rot. It started for the overcrowded fridge because the fridge wouldn't close and almost broke from it. Then it was food being stolen, again it was because of the Tupperware being the same/similar to food that was left and forgotten about. Then the food starting to rot happened. How all this happened? It was both the morning and night shift Nurses/Techs fault, if the morning Nurses/Techs would forget their food it would be left in the fridge, the same happens with the night shift Nurses/Techs. People in the Medical field need a bit more time to eat, we're talking about these going into 12-15 hour shifts and barely taking a lunch break. It all got fixed by adding another fridge and labeling them. "Morning" and "Night" so there's no confusion and at the end of the week the fridges will be cleaned out(Morning fridge gets cleaned out before the Night shifts came in and on Saturday morning the Night fridge gets cleaned out.) But however if there were issues like that and were never bought up in a meeting/email then I can understand them both, and it would be the higher ups fault but if it was bought up many times, and there were zero communication between the employees and if there were notes then yeahhhhhhhhh it's the chick's fault but none of the above happened, and it's happening to others then it's management's fault for refusing to acknowledge the issue.
