That was the WORST 3 weeks of my life. Seeing him buy this other girl flowers, get ready for dates, etc etc. He was rubbing it in my face. It traumatized me for many years. So I 1st hand know the heartbreak living with your "ex" can cause.

Then she said that he said that he was going to bring someone over and that she had no idea that he was there in his room and she just barged in and then she admitted that she knew he was in there with someone. Not to mention it doesn’t make sense why her stuff is in his room, such as a blanket and a pillow, if they’ve only ever stayed in her room together, not his. He sounds like he genuinely wanted to get back with her, but there were issues in their relationships and she sounds honestly narcissistic. She probably was cheating on him and thought that he would stay no matter what she did and that he was never going to find anyone else and the minute that he did find someone else that’s when she decided to get mad and move out. I don’t know why you’re taking this case so personally I think that’s the problem with a lot of stuff nowadays and also why you would never be picked for a jury. Yes he should’ve looked for a roommate, but something about her is very odd and she already comes off as a liar.

The defendant lied and got caught lying, but got every benefit of the doubt. She even accidentally acknowledged that that was HIS bedroom (indicating that he was telling the truth). Also, say it takes a month to advertise for a roommate, like the judge said. This would have been October/November based on the lease ending end of January. Am I the only one who thinks it's unreasonable/unrealistic to find a new roommate, during winter holidays, for the two month remainder of the lease?! Who moves into a place knowing they'd have to move out again in two months?! Especially during a time where students (sounds like a college town) will be back home for most of those two months. Defendant should have paid at least 2 if not all 3 months. The judge cut her some slack because she thought the plaintiff was a ho.
