Thank you very much for showing my settlement even if it is incomplete! You have truly honored my work and I am glad of it. Maybe one day I'll be able to finish it when I have a computer again. But in the meantime, I can only thank you for sharing with everyone what I have done, very much appreciated. And when I restart, I will calibrate the whole settlement again to be on top of the new updates. Thanks again from the heart.

Hi Mauro! Thank you once again for sending me your save and sharing it with the world. Best of all we saved it from your PC's breakdown that way. You will have to play with it in the legacy mode, but at least you will get to finish it one day.

Man 2 winter settlements here I've always liked winter City settlements it gives that fantasy look sometimes with the snow and the lights clearing and shining on the snow but Rochabar looks that part too bad it's half finish but I understand due to lost of my own laptop losing tons of great works Also reminds me some of the settlements of Skyrim and the small streets do remind me of Sorano of Tuscany or hallstatt of Austria's also skybridge is a nice addition Then we got over Stone that looks like a helm's deep because it does look the part like the uruk-hai got just briefly defeated💀 too bad we all couldn't see the battle but hey the aftermath i guess we'll do, I love look of it built in the inside of the mountain and it look good there is one thing that Rochabar and overstone needs really big taverns for those long cold nights with some warm ale or some hot chocolate and some delicious pork roast with good company and a warm atmosphere those cold nights are but history too bad it's starting to become summer over here because winter time is my favorite time of the year love these two winter settlements and this was another great showcase because I love showcases in weather elements looking for the next showcase👍

Hi don right! Oh I remember you mentioning this. Well on the bright side, the update #4 will require all of us to start new settlements to experience new features so everyone will be restarting their games. Hehe, you are not the first to mention Overstone's comparison with Helm's deep ! It really does have that vibe. While Mauro's settlement is such an opposite with it's town sections and narrow streets. And Mauro's town does have that big inn of sorts next to the kitchens I showed at the start. Next episode is another two for one special :)
@donright44922 жыл бұрын
@@perafilozof yeah that inn was decent in it's own little way and everybody's starting back over will be ashamed but there's will always be new projects And looking forward for that two for one special 👍

I like big, sprawling multi-building settlements. In winter too! I'm always getting ideas for how to shape buildings. This always nearly prompts me to send in my own. Also really interesting to see the settlements stats here. I've also got to winter 1359, but my settler's kill count is way behind, which I'm surprised by. But I started with 1 settler, so my first few raids are quite small.

Hello Stephen! Raid size depens on a few things: your settler number, your starting settler number, game mode and the difficulty level.

oh, how i hate it when people do design and build such a beautiful settlement and they leave theese ugly roofs that dont suit walls and thier pattern. change the damn roof finish for gods sake! nice work tho, i envy this, cause im really into making my settlements as efficient as it can get, so i usually dont care as much about aesthetics
@perafilozof2 жыл бұрын
Hello Jan, I totally get you, and yet I also often totally disregard even basic aesthetic. But making all these showcases has made me appreciate a well designed building with more than just efficiency of work. And I must admit bringing a few banners here and there has made my bland builds that bit nicer to look at. Next I hope to remember to change the wall visuals from time to time :)

I fully understand the criticisms of the roofs. In fact, unfortunately, I didn't have time to modify them, unfortunate fact that I haven't had a computer for months, and I haven't been able to enjoy the joys of the new version. Certainly as soon as I can it will be my concern to rearrange ALL the roofs

awesome builds, the second one kinda reminded me of helms deep in lord of the rings

Hello Daniel, I am glad you enjoyed them. That is quite the apt comparison, I think player who goes by Exergy is making a grand LOTR settlement Heals Deep or Minas Tirith, so I will try to showcase it once he finishes his insane build. There was a small preview in one of the previous episodes if you misted it, episode 9 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKSUmGird7CieK8

The whole lighting and heating mechanic really has to be rethought. All these dark and cold settlements because settlers don't have the time to run to each light or brazier to fuel them. A better idea would just have a storage area set aside for heating and lighting fuel. As long as settlers keep that area or several stocked then it's automatically deducted to keep everything lit up and warm. Not realistic obviously but everyone having such cold and dark fortresses when it obviously would have cost massive amounts of gold and silver to build such elaborate structures is also completely unrealistic. This is especially true now that the next update requires a certain temperature range to be maintained for fermentation to work for alcoholic beverages.
@perafilozof2 жыл бұрын
Hi Place_There, I do agree with you that the new mechanics of refueling has taken a lot of time from the settler's day. Fortunately, the next update will make the days last a bit longer so that will help somewhat. But still... I agree a new solution has to be found. I think a simple decrease in fuel consumption rate is in order.
@mauromigliavacca12632 жыл бұрын
you are right, unfortunately I have not been able to redo and remodel the settlement due to the fact that with the arrival of the new update I have not been able to make functional changes. Please note that Rochabar is still based on the old version of the settlement, so without the refuel. Obviously the criticisms you have leveled are all correct, indeed, I thank Perafilozof very much for having dedicated a space to my work, which I am sorry I have not yet concluded.
