Merry Christmas guys. Fusion of cultures is so interesting. You guys always seem that you need 2 tables for all the food that you guys get. Never had Sting Ray before. I agree Greg, you gotta have the rice.

Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and the whole Santos clan. Haha that is a great point! We usually do need multiple tables or one large table. We’ve had lots of nice stingray dishes here

I have seen it spelled differently. Is it Kuhe? In college, a dorm mate was an exchange student. His mother sent him an assorted box for Christmas. He shared with the entire house. He was very happy that someone enjoyed it, me, as much as him. It was a great experience. I enjoyed it through your video, all over again! Thanks!! HAPPY BEST NEW YEAR!!!!

Oh yes have seen it spelled “kueh” before too. That is so cool! Can imagine how good the kuih must have been. We were so lucky to be able to go behind the scenes and watch the process of making the kuih - definitely gives a whole different perspective. Your dorm mate’s mom must have put in lots of time and effort to make them. Happy New Year to you too! Thank you for all of your wonderful comments and support 😁

What happened to kueh lapis? The white and red layered kuih @19:00 ? Suddenly it is gone from the plate with no review? How come?

Kuih, man.. Y'all introduced me to this in another video. It looks beautiful and so cool to see the process! This is definitely in my bucket list. Hopefully I can find it in a big city here in the States when I can do a little traveling.

Yup! We ate it in our NYC Malaysian food video and also in a few videos here in Malaysia. Being able to go behind the scenes and watch it be made was really special. Hope you can find it too!

Thinking right now about how to teach this kid to dive into cooking like this. Sometimes, it's just flying and going to a new place where you're going to have to expand your palette just to eat, period. Like the high dive without a net. You just have to trust the experience. And you have. You're showing that expansion of the palette can be such amazing exploration. Bonus: Greg said "fluffy." Twice.
@FoodandFootprints4 жыл бұрын
That is the way to go. Fret not, I (Greg) was quite a picky kid growing up and didn’t expand my horizons until my teen years. Took until my early 20’s to really become more open-minded to different foods. Haha the fluffy counter!
