Percussive Acoustic Guitar Loopstation Performance Boss RC-600 - Paper Between Strings

The Chris Woods Groove Orchestra performing live with the BOSS RC-600 Loopstation. The audio was recorded using mainly the output direct from the pedal itself. As well as a blend of the direct out from the BOSS CUBE STREET II and a tiny splash of the ambient mic to show the 'in the room' sound.

I've been listening to this video over and over again.. Awesome job.. I'm an older dude that got into looping because of covid. Upped my game by adding more gear. ( RC 300, everything goes into a mixer first. I'm so looking forward to trying the RC 600. If you could tell some simple setups of the 600 to get out the sound you do that would be awesome.

Thanks so much and great to hear you are enjoying the looping journey. The 600 is a game changer... particularly the ability to put affects on the whole track. Thats what I would recomend getting in to... for me its about relatively simple loops then being creative bringing them in and out and using those track effects. Thank you. On this guitar it’s a standard fishman rare earth blend a great pick up for sure. I usually use a (mimesis kudos by Mike vanden) also a great pick up. Hope that helps. Thanks again for kind comment.

Dude don't you find there is a buzz and hum when you keep building layers and just In General. Feel like they are built terribly

Hey, thanks for comment. Shouldnt be any noise at all though ... and i dont get this with the one im using. But... If i use something that has hum or noise, like i find with a uke i sometimes use then the hum will layer up like the rest of a sound. So when i loop i always make sure pickups etc are silent as poss.
