I think the novels usually hinted at pairs that were 1st generation god kid (like the big 3) and 2nd generation god kid (so, let's say, kids of Apollo or Athena, since the two are Zeus' kids), so the gap is even bigger. Aphrodite's kids have it the easiest, their mother was born out of a sea foam, so she's not even related to anyone.

Btw. it's not even true for this season. Percy is the only demigod son Poseidon had after they made the post-WW2 no-children pact. Just this season we meet Procrustes who is a demigod son of Poseidon. Did he probably get immortalised as a form of monster? Yeah. But he still counts.

Nathan you’re on point on why Hephaestus was willing to let Percy go. If anyone understands what it means to be mistreated by the gods, it’s him and he understood right away what Annabeth meant with her speech. I don’t think they made him too soft, he’s just the only god who would have been willing to listen because he gets it

Ares technically is Percy's cousin, but he is also Annabeth's uncle. Athena is Ares sister, which makes him Annabeth's uncle, and Ares is Zeus's son which makes him Percy's cousin. Annabeth and Percy aren't related though because gods don't technically have DNA since they are celestial and not human.

Also in the book none of the Gods actually share DNA because most are created differently. Oh and Annabeth being with Percy is canon in the books but you don’t start to see it until book 3 which if the show continue is probably season 3. There’s 5 main books so probably 5 season.

so Ares is the son of Zeus and as Percy is the son of Poseidon (making Zeus technically his uncle), that makes Ares is cousin. Athena, Annabeth's mother, is also a daughter of Zeus (sister to Ares) so that makes Ares like a weird angry uncle to Annabeth lmao. Gotta love the Greek god fam Edit: Also you're completely fair to suspect Athena. Out of all the Greek Gods/Goddesses, Athena is the most ruthless and least forgiving to ANYONE. She's definitely very difficult to like in the beginning.

Sorry to disappoint you guy but in Greek mythology Hades is never terrifying he’s actually the nicer brother out of the 3. People keep thinking Hades is like the devil he’s not. He’s the God of death and the after life. So that mean when humans die they go to the underworld even if they are good or bad. Then they are separated in the underworld by good or bad. He’s really the nicer of the 3. Hade ≠ Devil Hades = Death.

Out of all 3 of the brothers, I prefer Hade in Greek mythology. I hate Zeus he such a terrible person/God but for some reason people keep switch there personally. Umbrella Academy is distinctly not for everyone. For those that jive with it, it is an awesome show, and there truly isn't anything just like it. Season three was the weakest. Also, I think you guys were getting characters mixed up. so god's don't really have a dna, demigods can date other demigods but not the one's sired but their own parents. Also Percy and annabeth are very young. They are a slowborn. So stuff wouldn't happen right now. They become best friends first which I really love! Also Ares is Percy's cousin, not annabeth's. Also one of my favourite things about the books is Aphrodite doesn't look the same to everyone. She appears with feature you are most attracted to so she changes form based on who's looking at her.
