I hadn't noticed the opposite/intersecting journeys Percy and Annabeth are taking in the series, that was so insightful! In the books, they ran into seemingly disconnected situations, so I'm happy they're connecting them (like with Ares telling them to go to the Lotis Casino, as opposed to them stumbling upon it themselves) I'm very excited to see your guys' reaction to episode 6

Yea I like how they changed Percy and Annabeth's journeys slightly to serve this adaptation, I think it works well. Can't wait for the next episode!

The way they wrote the interaction between Grover and Ares reminded me of what you see in movies or even IRL i guess where a superfan reminds a superstar of their older stuff.

That's exactly how we felt, it's a really fun perspective and the scene lets both of them shine.

The changed scene at the amusement park was great. I liked that Hephaistos sort of understands what they're going through in a way and so deciding to help him. That was a good moment. Those are some interesting predictions about the Lotus Casino. I just assumed Ares was lying about Hermes being there, hoping that the three would get trapped "waiting for Hermes" and miss their deadline so that the war can happen

Great video guys! I’ve really been enjoying the series, but I was worried about this episode considering how many changes they made with Medusa’s storyline previously. I felt this was pretty close to the book, even with the changes you highlighted. I’m excited to see where this goes.

Glad you enjoyed it! Im interested to see what changes they make to the function the Lotus Casino plays in the story, but since we've been enjoying the season Im gaining confidence that any changes they do decide to make will serve the larger story well.
