My grandpa used to sing this to my grandmother and no matter where they were even driving he would pull over and drag her out of the car to dance. He used to sing it to her with such conviction he loved her more than life. He passed on in 2013 and grandma is now very sick and on her way out. I came here to listen to this to remind myself when it’s her time to cross over he will be there probably with the real Percy singing and dancing. I need to listen to this to remind myself she’s going to be in a better place with her love. Life can be so heartbreaking sometimes

I’m 33 so I in my teens it was the late 90’s early 2000’s. Never heard this music til I was over 25. Man this is what real music is, I love everything but hearing music with such passion like this! It somehow touched your soul, you feel it when you hear, back when music had meaning.

Percy Sledge will always be associated with the great soul singers. The fact that he has over five million views says a lot. I love this song. Mr. Sledge sings it the way it is supposed to be sung.

That's the right word to describe this song. It's just to perfect. This is a really beautiful song, so magically woven together. It's nice to meet you. If you don't mind I would love us to be friends. I understand that we don't know each other before now but one thing I believe is that it takes only a minute to accept friendship and that's why I have asked to accept my request of friendship. It would be an honor, l'm looking forward to a good friendship between us. May I ask where you are from?

Wow! I would call this Percy's song a SOUL song! He is pouring his heart into this song to communicate his lyrics to the hears everywhere. I first heard this song, when I was stationed in the southern state. And when his voice was ringing out through the radio, it was so fitting to the southern atmosphere. Funny, I didn't get to see his picture till, just now. What God-given talent Percy had, enabling us to enjoy his songs even today! May his soul rest in peace with the Lord!

And I am looking forward to the heavenly life above which the Holy Lord has invited me to come as one of His beloved sons. Please look these verses up from your own Bible and consider them, if you have not already done so. When a man loves a woman Can't keep his mind on nothin' else He'd change the world for the good thing he's found If she is bad, he can't see it She can do no wrong Turn his back on his best friend if he put her down When a man loves a woman He'll spend his very last dime Tryin' to hold on to what he needs He'd give up all his comforts And sleep out in the rain If she said that's the way It ought to be Well, this man loves you, woman I gave you everything I had Tryin' to hold on to your heartless love Baby, please don't treat me bad When a man loves a woman Down deep in his soul She can bring him such misery If she is playin' him for a fool He's the last one to know Lovin' eyes can never see When a man loves a woman He can do her no wrong He can never want Some other girl Yes when a man loves a woman I know exactly how he feels Cause baby, baby, you're my world When a man loves a woman...
