This my favorite fly for brook trout in the Rockies

Yes I can imagine it would work perfectly there. Much of the brook trout streams I’d fish were super skinny water, really shallow, so my favorite was a dry fly, the royal wulff worked wonders for me. But when going with a nymph in deeper water, yeah this would work great! Those brookies do tend to go after brightly colored flies for some reason.
