She can walk away from fame if she doesn’t like it, as a survivor of DV some don’t have that choice to leave safely (thankfully I was able to)

Halsey was complaining about the same shit just not too long ago! Like girl- If you dont like the fame and people are so harsh and disrespectful and you're so Sick now than leave! The fact they both don't just go away is annoying and Entitled AF- because they want to have both wayz. They wanna be in the spotlight but complain about it and act like victims

First off WOW! For those of us that have survived domestic violence she has no clue and how dare she compare fame and the privileges that come with it to what millions have endured. If she finds fame so reprehensible she needs to step back from her chosen career. There is a price to be paid for most things in life. She is courting fame and should now understand it isn't without penalties. Again she can stop, it's within her power to do so.
@chayo4537Ай бұрын
Relationships are a choice. You're probably the same woman who agreed with kanye west when he said "slavery was a choice" if you can understand that diabolical excuse than you can also apply it to relationships which are on a lesser grand scale. Relationships are a choice! 😂😮

@@chayo4537are you 12? Your literally replying to a DV survivor and thats what nonsense you spout SMH women are killed every week in every country around the world trying to leave abusive partners. Relationships are a choice, abuse is not chosen in any way it's also slow and isolating it rarely starts with physical things. Whatever age you are, go and educate yourself and don't spout such ignorance around people you have no idea what people are going through behind closed doors be the person someone in trouble can call for help not the person that makes them feel even worse, more isolated and they have nowhere to turn so they stay or maybe your just an abuser, so get therapy

She sounds like she needs serious mental health help. If she was struggling to get here then be grateful. You can’t have fame only on your own terms. Domestic violence is completely different. When people find themselves in that situation they need to leave. No one is making her do this. She does have control of her career.

Hi Perez! Soooooo this is exactly what my friends and I have been saying about this generation. We are older Gen Z and young millennials and we see how far Gen z goes with things. First, it’s great because we are the generation that doesn’t “care about authority,” speaks out and says F you! BUT that attitude usually leads to a point where it goes a too far and becomes really out of touch. And then when you correct them or there’s push back they usually don’t want to listen and tell you to F off. I’m noticing it more and more. They go so far that it becomes borderline delusional.
@chayo4537Ай бұрын
Every generation complained about the previous one. So that's to be expected and That’s not what the issue is here- What she said was weird. . .
@PerezHiltonАй бұрын

@anacondapАй бұрын
@@chayo4537 you just oversimplified it. Maybe it went over your head. Look at the cultural time we are living. It’s a post me too, post pandemic, crazy political rivalries, Hollywood “icons” having great falls etc. the cultural aspect to why Gen z responds the way we do is directly correlated to this era of calling things out and cancel culture. Plus we grew up when social media really took off, especially Instagram. There’s a certain expectation now that there wasn’t before to walk a straight line or they get dragged/cancelled. We also came up in the era of iPhones and other smartphones really taking off. Yes, other generations feel a way about younger ones but let’s not ignore what makes this generation what it is.

I’m a huge Chappell fan , but lately her responses to media have been disappointing , although I can sympathize with her . She sounds a bit … “out there “ and borderline entitled , especially with comparing her popularity to domestic abuse. What. In. The. World I feel Chappell needs to get it together or she’s about to be cancelled as quick as she got famous . I mean c’mon there have been bigger stars than her whom have had worse shit thrown to them and they “saved face “ and handled it in a different way . No one should be harassed but she does know people will be people and it comes with the package of being in the spotlight . She needs better media training ..js

I think she should do more things that will make her more famous. So she can get used to it. Either that, or quit. It must've been nice to have been Randy Newman, Tom Waits, Warren Zevon, Leonard Cohen or Harry Nilsson. You got your work out there to the public. You had a more cult fan following. And you still got the critical acclaim, had devoted fans and made a pretty good living. That would've been great for Chappell Roan.

A celebrity who says “I want all the fame, money, and attention that comes with being famous but I want you all to leave me alone” is like a surgeon saying “I want the money and hours of being a surgeon but I don’t ever want to touch blood.” Uh, sorry? Sounds like you shouldn’t be a surgeon if you can’t take the “bad” parts that go with that job. No one would have any issue saying “babe maybe this career isn’t for you cause that goes with the territory.” But then we coddle celebrities and are like “poor baby, someone took your picture in a public place. It’s just not fair.” If you can’t handle the downsides of the job, no matter what job it is, DON’T TAKE THE JOB. Say what you want about Taylor swift, but she never ever complains about fame or her fans in this way and heck she’s got it 10 times worse than Chappell. She knows the bad part of fame comes with the good and took the job anyway and she was only a teenager when she agreed to this. Chappell is a full on adult. She knew what she was chasing. And she could easily quit and fade into one hit wonder obscurity. She really bothers me as a person honestly because I really can’t take the elite complaining about “photographers being a little rude on the red carpet” as though nurses don’t have to deal with rude if not violent people too for waaaaay less money and appreciation. Just GO AWAY if you hate it that much. But she won’t because she doesn’t hate it enough to leave, just enough to complain and make it her thing. She’s being hypocritical. But comparing fans cheering for you and getting your picture taken to DV is just.. wow. I think she might be the fastest celebrity to lose touch with reality.
@ChiefАй бұрын
i understand where youre coming from, but also society needs artists, and there will always be notable ones, so this idea of 'well if you dont like it quit' doesnt actually push the industry and the public forward to a healthier space where people are allowed to make art, be known, and not be traumatized because of it. Do u know what I mean?
@gdhaney136Ай бұрын
She's talented, but the actions aren't matching the attitude. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt because she is young, but she needs to find solutions other than complaining about it, and if it's that bad, stop and get a job out of the public eye.
