Thank you Carol. I am going to try mine again. Also, for anyone here not a member of Carol's Jewelry Junkies group on the Style Maker Network I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a great forum to share your work, ideas, inspiration and learn new techniques and ask questions. It has been extremely helpful to me.👍

You hit the nail on the head with this video! I've struggled with my pliers also, and I guess I'm not taking my time and crimping long enough. Thanks so much for taking your time and showing us just how to get our projects done! From Super HOT SW Missouri! ;-)

Oh I'm so pleased this helped! I went through this with one of my members step by step. She showed me after every squeeze and we figured out what she was doing wrong. Then I talked with my other members who said the same thing. It was great to work through that with them and get the best result for my viewers. Thank you so much. Very wet here in New Zealand today.

Thanks for doing that demo. I bought one of those crimpers and thought it was useless but looks like I was not using it correctly. I won't throw it out now! Oh, will that crimper be good for the round crimps? Or just tubes.
@The_Stylish_Maker5 ай бұрын
That's good news Flora. You can only use the Magical crimping plier with 2mm crimp tubes.

Carol do you ever use wire guards? I see a lot of people use them. Is it really necessary to? Thanks
@The_Stylish_Maker5 ай бұрын
I do use them often. I also use French wire in place of a wire guardian. The reason you would use one is that it protects your stringing material and also helps to stop it slipping out of the jump ring if you have left it slightly open. Here's a video where I talk about them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZC1apKcf9Kambssi=WyMTLkxQFn83E887 Here's a video where I use French wire instead. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYaToX-bealnjK8si=OKq67v4ikrMGw82A

I tried a number of times today. Definetley struggled still, was like a ravioli. It’s too bad as the tool was 25$. Would recommend the om Tara pliers over this one
@The_Stylish_Maker3 ай бұрын
That's a shame Sheridan. If you like you can try again and send me photos and I will see if I can figure out where it's going wrong. Send me a photo at each stage. Most people do get it eventually but you need to squeeze hard and keep turning and squeezing until it's right.
@sherisedances82673 ай бұрын
@@The_Stylish_Makerthank you for that ! I have been using 0.18 tiger tail but also used on diff wires. Also used the special 2 mm tubes for it. Mine just end up looking like a very mangled pancake / it is smashed with a lot of misformed edges. I think I must have squished it about ten times but it just doesn’t go into a ball like yours does. In the end I’ll probably just use crimps and crimp covers. The om Tara pliers are really great if you ever want to use basic crimping pliers
