hammerpacked with tons of valuable content. I mean, that if the density and quality all videos was like this on the internet, our info. and wisdom on training and way of understanding body would allow us to consume less co2 from having more fun moving body vs. making money healing injuries by wokring to pay doctors.

Even on 5x5 program on stronglifts The deadlifts are only preformed once, Where as other compound moves are used 5x5, The deadlift is only one set of 5 reps.

Perfect form. I run into people and I tell them don't be afraid to deadlift just learn about the knowledge of the biomechanics of the particular lift and learn that it's not a back exercise it is a smashing the pelvis into the bar exercise once you set your glutes and feel your lats and keep your heels planted into the ground

In my case it’s not a matter of being afraid. Instead, using perfect form hurts my back. So, I can either do them wrong or injure myself. Apparently, I’m not alone on this point. So, I don’t know why people say “do deadlifts” when it seems to be intentionally designed to break your back.

Hey Matt! What does it mean if my knee catches the bar on the way up occasionally?
@Baris2gs4 жыл бұрын
Do you recommend resetting every rep as if it were your first one to make sure form stays perfect? Because I've seen many lifters have a perfect first rep but as they go for the following reps the form gets worse.
@Ceiling_Gato4 жыл бұрын
Well I'm not Matt but I'd say it's fairly imperative to do it like this if you want to lift heavy without injury
@TREX31514 жыл бұрын
I do. Use to drive my workout buddy crazy. Thought it took to long to get through a set. I'm also guilty of the over training part as well. Not respecting the toll a DL workout does to my body. Plenty of minor injuries further complicating progress.
@Mundus664 жыл бұрын
This used to be my problem, so i actually reset the bar after every lift (basically doing the lift all over again). I got a lot of looks in the gym, but i rather do this than do a mistake with that much weight.

Do you recommend working out with dl and squats in the same week? Perhaps light with one heavy with the other. Or should it be more space between the two. Awesome video!
@hybridramper-futurearmy11604 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do it in the same week as long as they're spaced out in different days i.e Monday: Bench and squat, Wednesday: Incline bench and Deadlift, Friday: Bench P and squat...

It would be awesome to give advice when the lifter is doing a % that breaks their form, my nephew can deadlift 135 with perfect technique, show him doing 90/95% then the real cues will show

Hey people on KZbin , what do your sets and reps look like for intermediate weight on deadlifts? High reps?
@mattc42664 жыл бұрын
Deadlift should always be low reps with few reps in reserve

5 reps max for technique practice or accessory lifts, 3x3 and heavy singles is what I mostly do for main lift.

There is no one size fit all answer. That question can't be answered, because it depends on you. I always do a light sumo before the conventional. It has a pointed effect on my glutes, it primes me up. The other guys in my gym hate it.
