A tip I use every time I grate butter is I drop the entire partial frozen butter into the flower mixture. It helps it to not stick to your grater.

When I was a child I used to watch my dad make biscuits every morning. I never thought to write down the recipe because I never thought about growing up and wanting to make them myself. My late husband didn't like biscuits or cornbread so I never learned how to make either. I'm going to try these biscuits cuz they look really good.

You live in Georgia right? Have you tried using White Lily flour? I always use their self rising flour for biscuits and add a little baking soda to react with the buttermilk. It's made with soft white winter wheat and results in perfect biscuits every time. Maybe you want to give it a try.

For less clean up, I put my biscuit dough recipe on Cling Wrap or Saran Wrap. I’m able to flour, press, and make my folds by using the wrap. Afterwards, cut with biscuit cutter and discard the wrap. Again, it makes for an easier clean up job. 😊
