I have made several of Rachel's recipes, and more than one time each. I do enjoy her manner of explaining and showing details of preparation. She seems like a long-time friend. I like her little conversational 'asides', about seasoning and products. Suddenly she shares some facts or discoveries just in the middle of explaining a recipe. There's a lot of knowledge shared besides just the preparation and cooking. Thank you, Rachel!!

So glad I found this on your channel Rachel! Thank you so much. I've always disliked the usual "green bean casserole" which is nothing like this. My grandparents had green beans this way, with ham hocks or bacon that they had done themselves. The mushrooms and peppers, what a great addition. I know we're going to love this so I'm getting the stuff for it for tomorrow. I love your recipes and you, the way you present them seems so doable....and they are! Thanks for all you do and for sharing with us.
