I'm half Korean and fortunately my mom taught me how to make bulgoki but she learned during the Korean War as a little girl so she didn't have oyster sauce and mung beans etc. I guess it was the poor man's version. I can't wait to try your ingredients in my bulgoki. I miss my mom. Love your videos.

I made the Bulgogi mountain last night and it was really pretty good, but I think next time I won't be so stingy with the onions. Also, my mountain didn't turn out as pretty as Aaron's...LOL. My next try will be the Jjamppong. Wish me luck!

I LOVE Aaron and Claire! They're both so fun to watch and listen to! 😂 I'm always so inspired to try these dishes. I don't live in Korea (I'm in the southwestern USA), but I found several of these products at a nearby market that specializes in foods from around the world! I saw the exact same brand of chili paste there! I'm so excited! I hope my family is, too. I've already forced them to eat Indian dishes, Moroccan dishes, Irish dishes and Japanese dishes so you'd think their palates are expanded enough to appreciate this. 🤣🤣🤣

GREAT NEWS! I found a good Korean grocery store nearby that can do almost everything, with the exception of the beef. They don't do raw meat, just frozen, but they have all of the other ingredients. WHOO HOO!

Most grocery stores with a butcher counter will do it for you if it isn't busy. Just ask nicely for the thinnest they can cut a ribeye and you are good to go.

@@danorser6516 I once tried to get some meat for shabu shabu, and they said they couldn't slice it thinly enough at the butchers. The deli had the right slicer but they were not allowed to use it for raw meat. Maybe I should give it another try.

What works instead of pineapple juice (if you just happen to have it instead) is Korean green plum extract. You get that same sweet/sour combo. *Chef kiss*

I have a hard time knowing what to get to make what, but if you can make a list of the must haves that would be so helpful! I'm half Korean my mom was adopted from Seoul but she was raised in a white family and we only know how to make American food. I want to start making Korean food on a regular basis and raise my new baby on Korean and Filipino food
