This is great! Although cannot reproduce in Blender. Data transfer modifier doesn't allow to select individual vertices...

Im sure there’s an addon for that, its a simple operation :)

Hi I had the same issue when using blender and I found the solution to be very easy - "alt+N" to bring up the normal edit menu, and there is two options called "copy vector" and "paste vector" which will do the same thing. Also you need to turn on "auto-smooth" for manual edit normal to work ("shade flat" basically clear out all manual normal edit). Hope this helps!

Thanks for the video, Thiago! It was such a very good and straightforward explanation! I'm looking forward to use this technique in my next study! And I hope soon I can practice and learn more with your others tutorials on Gumroad!

what if you could create bevel in that part and then use a transfer data modifier.
@TKEnvironments Жыл бұрын
not sure what you mean :) is that Blender talk? I only know Maya talk :D (for now)
@pawpotsRS Жыл бұрын
@@TKEnvironments it's blender talk but I was assuming if there's same type of modifier in Maya, I come from Maya too I just forgot which is it.

@@pawpotsRS For Maya, I think that's called "Attribute Transfer" or something of the like. I don't really use it bc it's bit of a pain lol.
