a tip for italy: actually, when you see "località di", it means a little area of the town you're in. the nearest big town is tipically "provincia di".

pro tip: you can judge how much south you are in Italy by looking at the number of old style pandas you see. in the south is close to 100% old style Vs new style and in the north viceversa

I've been a fan for a while but hadn't seen this video yet, was watching and as soon as you started the last round I immediately recognized it as Formazza, as it's up the road from me!! If you had continued north you would have found one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, the cascata del toce! Was but also wasn't surprised you found it!

I have to check, but as Italian it doesn't sound right. May be, and I'm guessing, the name of the train station: not uncommon to have a single station downhill for many small villages in higher ground far away from the railway. Scornavacca sounds definitely a small town, so Vardano.

I don't know if this is a particularly smart idea, but something I've always wanted to do was generate random coordinates and find my way there. You could do that in the UK and just go on a trek to find that specific spot. Just an idea.

What problem do you have with churches? Like in #1 there's a very distinctive one right opposite the road and it's also on the map and super easy to match but you go "I think these are these buildings here" and in #2 you find the center square with the church, which again, helps match stuff on the map and streetview and you say "this really old building here". Like is the word church really that hard?
