you make it look so Easy!, I own a repair shop and can solder chargeports, HDMI ports, I have a Hakko FX888 iron, and a $30 heat gun, is it possible with this cheap of equipment, now i do have teh same Tacky flux and leaded solder, I do a lot of ipad charging ports,

Thanks for the great video! I had a question since I am trying to learn how to do soldering on smaller devices like iphones. In other videos I have seen people will take off the old solder from the pads underneath before putting down the new chip, is that necessary for these or is it more of a matter of preference?

Thanks! I def recommend running new solder on the pads. This helps to reduce the melting point since youll be using leaded 63/37 solder and as well it helps to even out the pads. I didnt do it in this video, but I have been soldering for quite sometime. However, for anyone learning, Id recommend always 'prepping' the pads

The battery keeps jumping from 0V to 0,5V, sometimes even to 1V. Is that a problem with the tristar or with the charging port?

well, by measuring the voltage of battery connector it tells u almost every thing 3.7v it means charging port and IC is okay 0.5v it means charging port is okay but IC is bad 0v charging port is bad
