i like your style. gonna be making these for sure! i dont eat butters and oils tho' so i will be tossing my burgers in the oven on a silpat instead of frying them. But i gotta admit...maybe for a special occasion treat....i would be mighty tempted by the look of your lovely burger on the fried crunchy bread with the melty vegan cheese! Mmmmm! (im gonna call these Xmas Burgers cos the diced red capsicum & green chopped herbs make them look really festive!)

Robin, I love black bean burgers. I have all the ingredients to make these!! I'm so excited!! YUM! They look so delicious!! Thank you!! xoxoxo I do have a question, I have some organic beets in a jar from the grocery store, can I use those?
@RockinRobinCooks4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharon, considering our circumstances sometimes we must make do with what we have. Can’t be running to the store every minute. That being said give this jarred beets a go. I’m assuming they are cooked (soft already) so you will need to chop them pretty small and then try to dry them as much as you can. Squeeze them between paper towels and go from there!
@sharonlatour62304 жыл бұрын
@@RockinRobinCooks They are cooked , I believe. But if not, I'll do as you did. Thanks for your reply!! xo

I like the recipe, Robin, but how would I cook this using dried beans? Should I soak and pressure cook the beans, steam them, etc.?
@RockinRobinCooks4 жыл бұрын
You would have to cook the beans first like you said. You can soak and pressure cook them as that would be the fastest. Or you could just boil them on the stove. Let me know if you have any more questions!
@sundancer4424 жыл бұрын
Great vid, as always, nice to watch a pro in action ! :) Can I use an immersion ( stick) blender on the beans ? I don't have a food processor. Cheers, Simon ( Sundancer).
@RockinRobinCooks4 жыл бұрын
Simon, you didn't ask for a food processor for Christmas? Lol. Not sure how the stick blender will work but no harm in trying. Let me know how it turns out.
@girlinagale4 жыл бұрын
Hi. I've used a stick blender to mince cooked beans but it works the blender too hard, it gets hot and smells of burning so wouldn't last more than a couple of times. I just purchased a Magic Bullet grinder (£39) which can handle coffee beans, mill flax, grind oats and most mincing jobs.
