Check out this top bodyboarding tip, to help you fine tune your forward or reverse spins! We've helped thousands of bodyboarders achieve their first-ever 360's over the years, and we're just as thrilled as they are when they nail them. As a fundamental manoeuvre in bodyboarding, the next stage is perfecting them, which usually involves getting those legs crossed.
As the rotation starts, you need to lift and cross your legs up behind you while arching your back. This will centralise your weight to the middle of the board and, like a spinning top, create a centre point to your spin. It is also important to cross your legs from a style point of view. The tighter those legs are crossed and the closer to your butt, the more stylish the spin will be.

After two years of bodyboarding a lot, I am still confused about exactly what causes the no-hand spin. What part of the body movement direction is the most important to whip around for no hand spins?

I bodyboard for normally 2 hrs per session. Thats plenty cardio if you paddle with arms and legs.

Cross legs. Strengthening, reduce muscle craps. Doing a reverse air you need your cregs tight. However I just go with Lewie Finnigan's online yoga. It's intense and will have you more flexible and absolutely shredding.

This exercise will help you get your legs crossed tighter. The tighter those legs are crossed and the closer to your butt, the more stylish the spin will be.
