I had my colors done in 1984. I think it’s funny how people seem to think it’s a new concept.😊 I stick to my colors around my face, most of the time but…sometimes I want to wear black, so I do.

I can attest to the whole caffeine and anxiety thing!!! I have been unable to have caffeine in several years now. I find decaf is just as good and no side effect of anxiety afterwards!!! Well worth trying to switch it out. Thinking of you and your family often for healing for Fletcher 🙏🏻

That brick red dress looked fabulous on you! As soon as you your face came on with that dress on, I thought, "Wow, that looks great with your skin and hair and your blue eyes did pop!" I'm with you on that whole "colors" thing and I just tell people, "Wear what you like wearing because it's really more about attitude and confidence." I can wear something in my colors but, if I don't feel right in it, it's just not going to work.

Color analysis/coding has been around for years. The trend comes and goes. I remember when my Mom first went to be matched. She was told she was a winter back then (she was in her 40's at the time) now she's considered a summer and is in her late 70's. I find it all intriguing but personally, like you, wear the colors I enjoy. Praying for yoυr sweet son. Stay strong in the Lord!

Yes! Had my color analysis done nearly 20 years ago, definitely not a trend. I follow mine almost to the letter (autumn) except I like navy a lot so I wear it. I find it so freeing to just pass up thongs not in my palette. My closet makes me so happy with how everything coordinates.

I never heard of anyone changing in the color analysis. But I can see why as we get older our skin changes somewhat. I am 72 though and mine has not changed from when I had it done many moons ago 😊

I love the wine colored dress. It’s so striking with your hair and eye color. I had my colors done back in the 80’s and I hardly wear the colors I should. I just gravitate towards other colors and I just feel good in other colors. But it was an interesting process regardless. Please know that I’m praying for Fletcher and your family!

Cut back. I was an RN and drank a lot of coffee for energy boost. You know, 12-hour shifts, little sleep. I was fine until I wasn't. I started to get an increased heart rate that left me exhausted. Not often, but it wasn't something to ignore. It starts with that anxious feeling. I wasn't sure why, but when I finally cut back to one cup a day and decaf if I wanted more than one. Solved the heart rate problem. This could damage your heart over time.

That yellow top is so cute. I love wearing yellow and feel it is the best to wear in summertime. That skirt with the three tiers you wore with the blue tee looks great. I hope your date night went well. I have owned several button down sundresses like the blue one you wore. The white dress that is button down with stripes reminds me of a cream dress I have that looks exactly like it. It is so comfy. Mine was from the Gap. I wear a full slip underneath it. I have been around the color thing almost my whole life. I can definitely tell you are a cool. Which makes perfect sense why white pops on you!! White looks awesome on light summers. But I agree in the long run wear what you want and what’s comfy. I also think just because that “color” is in your season doesn’t mean that looks the best on you! It could be that that’s the wrong shade of that color for you. Love all the fashion content!! Keep it up!

Colour draping was popular in the 1970s as well. It was a game changer for me. Wearing the colours that go with your skin tone makes one glow….without makeup. Even at my grandma stage of life, I receive compliments when wearing my colour palette. Black is good on the bottom! … leave black to a winter palette… they look stunning in it. When Josh said you looked beautiful it could have been attributed to the blue top you wore! I liked the other blue top on you too.

I agree. They never told me not to wear anything. They showed me the different shading and contrast of the color. Example: red, there are orangey reds and bluer red. The orangey red doesn't look good on me.

I think the color analysis thing comes and goes in waves. It might be a guide but as you said, you can pull off certain colors that are outside your wheel house when you have a tan. I think it might be a guide but not always correct and as you age your color wheel will also change. I loved the bright skirt on you. So good to see you and I hope your family is well. God bless x

Finding one’s “good” colours can be tricky but there are definitely some good take-away lessons. I have learned that the yellow versions of colours - eg tomato/orangey reds, olive greens, mustard, cream, most shades of orange …- just look awful near my face. I don’t try to use a grid; I just avoid the yellow-based colours. I love your suggestion to use “forbidden” colours below the waist.

I hope your son is doing well. Wear what you would like. I found my color analysis very helpful. I knew I didn't like black and I felt like it allowed me to get rid of any black tops/sweaters I owned. The analysis also helps me focus when shopping so I'm not wasting money on something I don't feel great in/won't wear as often.

I get anxiety. I take a full dose of my medication at night, and I have a smaller dose in the morning. It has this effect of leveling my mood too. I've been collecting skirts. I bought a dress for this weekend. It's purple.

I haven't watched through this video, but I always thought you looked best in Autumn colors. I think it's best to try a lot of different colors against your skin and see which ones you like. There will probably be colors you like a lot on you and some you really don't like. I think the main lesson is to try different colors and compare them to each other.

I noticed that I had different elements in my skin/hair/eyes that contradicted the boxes of the seasons and never perfectly fit in one…and I also am one to break the rules😂it’s fun to find what shades might complement you, but wearing colors you like and are confident in is more important. I think we can get away with light, cool-toned yellows, which is what your tops both were so that's why it suits you well 🙂 I think its the orange-yellows that clash, however, like you said...with a grain of salt haha!
