People think $39 is expensive? Considering it's a stater kit with everything included, I think it's pretty reasonable. (Minus the seafood of course) It's all in one box and perfect for first timers. I would suggest they add some of the plastic coverings for the bamboo mat, but other than that, I think it's fairly priced. That soy sauce surely has to make it even better. And just think....now it comes with an instructional video from Hiro himself.
@alidasoo66548 жыл бұрын
40 bucks? I was expecting like $80.00
@justinm26978 жыл бұрын
Ali dasoo People spend $20 or so a month on random boxes filled with useless comic book/anime/movie merchandise... all because it's 'rare' and 'limited edition.' Which of course it's not. It's all junk. But if you like it, fine, whatever. But this box could teach you a skill, that you only have to pay for once. Think about it.....people spend more money going to a cinema to see a movie for a few hours. Edit: Or spend more money on a shirt.

I really appreciate that Hiro is encouraging people to make sushi themselves. I respect that at the upper level it's it's own art form and that people spend years and years mastering it- but it's also just such a versatile and kind of cheap food.

I love the way that fish looks and is presented; sadly, I don't really like the taste of fish, but this channel is one of the main reasons why I still try fish every chance I get, because I hope one day I can truly enjoy the art that these chefs present when I come upon them. I hope that I get the chance to visit your restaurant, because Hiro really does show us a beautiful talent in these videos. I can only imagine what his food looks like on a plate in your restaurant.

Do you not like all fish? Cause they can taste very different. Even raw fish tastes completely different from the same kind of cooked fish.

Ash I'm willing to try whatever seafood is around, it just usually doesn't appeal too much to me yet. pretty much the only types of seafood I've really enjoyed were mild fishes, crab, and shrimp.

Is anyone else sick of hearing about Catalina Offshore Products? They don't ship outside of the US, to my understanding they don't supply NoVe with fish and only give little sample packets to Hiro and the Cameraman so that they can shamelessly be plugged into a video with their gimmicky westernization of Soy Sauce and whatever else they make and are only giving people a 10% discount that purchase from their store? Where I come from that 10% wouldn't even cover the tax, so I'm not quite sure I'm understanding the partnership here between NoVe and Catalina Offshore Products. I just know that I'm sick of hearing about them.

I was looking at the Zika map identifying the affected areas in Miami and saw the restaurant is about a block south of the region. How has that been affecting your business?
