Thanks Aaron. This is helpful as I am feeling a bit lost at sea with the new UI layout of Google Ads and everything being Performance Max and assets. I am running into issues with policy warnings though due to my ads being focused on selling beer (alcohol). I am well aware of the rules around this for different regions, but Google seems to enjoy warning me lots. I would welcome some discussion on best practice around selling regulated, age-specific products through Google Ads.

I have a question: If I don't choose any merchant center and run a Pmax campaign for one of my service-based products, can you tell me the size of the creative I should use for the Pmax campaign? Pmax mentions that I can add "up to 20 images." What does that mean? Should I use 20 different sizes of the same image, or should I use 20 different images with three different sizes (vertical, horizontal, and square)? Please help me understand this 20 images thing. If I need to use 20 different sizes of one single image, could you please provide me with the latest size specifications? Thanks!

Yes you can but if you are going to use PMax I don’t recommend to add terms only with no audiences. As PMax will just start testing audiences anyway. So if you want to go with KW targeting only stick with search

Thanks for the good content. I am about to start PMax campaign(s) for an early stage brand at around AUD$50 pd. It's for a physical product that has two main use cases: i) bought when people move home, including kw 'moving'; ii) people who will be putting items in storage, using kw 'storage'. Potentially, the copy could be hyper customised to these two scenarios. Then there are generic search terms where it could be either scenario. Do you think different adsets should be used with PMax or just bundle it all together and let the algo do it's thing? Thanks so much.

Hello Aaron i have a question. In my pmax campaign i notice from general information tab that 50% of my conversions come from brand search. It is not good Becouse i don’t understand if pmax is good or not and only take brand traffic that convert anyway. I have read i can ask to support Google to include a list of keyword in the esclusion list of pmax. You do this? It is correct? Or it is better keep brand search in pmax?
