He's such a captivating performer! Very similar to Joanna Newsom in the sense that he seems to be pulling the words out from deep within...like they're a corporeal thing that's reluctant to leave. And when they do it registers in his face and mouth in a strange and very interesting way. So intense.

I was introduced to Perfume Genius via The Jimmy Kimmel Show about a week ago and was struck by the lead singer's animal magnetism! It really got to me and I've been pursuing everything on KZbin about them! It's strange to become so intensely drawn into their performances! I feel that it was fate that pulled me into this awareness that someone could be so singularly self-possessed as this artist! I love them and can't wait to see what they might do next!
