I do not understand the coach's "gosh" at the mention of the retiring age which is 67 in the UK and some other countries too, I guess. My mother is 78 (soon 79) and she is still working full-time in a very demanding profession; I believe it keeps her going mentally and helps her cope with the chronic pain and other various health issues. She has said recently that if, one day, she has to close the door to her office for good, she will jump out of the nearest window first.

I apologise for my eye rolling . My mum is working full time too at 79 , managing a charity shop. She also looks after her granddaughter . It keeps my mother going too and having a purpose is key to that.
