Understanding Periods and Menstruation on a deeper level starts with viewing menstruation through the scope of history. Many women today are out of alignment with their menstrual cycle today resulting in heavy bleeding and painful periods during menstruation which forces many to take birth control pills. To get back in touch with their inner cycles and periods both women and society must get back in touch with the truth about menstruation.

Go try to live with the aborigines..or in an African tribe...Then you will understand that modern civilization has only helped women and made their life more painless and more comfortable. You idealize "ancient societies" ....Many years ago, I 'abandoned' civilization, and founded a community in nature (on a Greek island): Nature is vicious when you live in Her> after 7 years I returned "running" back to civilization. Now I LOVE washing machines, electricity, pain-killers, modern medicine etc..

Teal, a father with a wife and daughter, and first time in life I've heard any of this, yet due to a...Kundalini experience years back, can't explain why, I understand this too well. You've gone back in time to an era well before we know now, to teach concepts lost in time and often misinterpreted by a patriarchal majority, in earlier times, would have been deemed "witchcraft" but it's not even that. It's the infinite wisdom society has long lost, revealed again, despite religion and society's reticence to even try to embrace. Thus, I'm sending this link to our daughter, she's in college now. She always complains about her monthly cycle but no one has ever revealed it's nature so clearly as you have in this video. I saw the link, got the inspiration it might help her understanding better and was fascinated with your research into so many aspects of something that has been a natural phenomenon, but demonized by males and clerics who had no idea that there was more to it than male repulsion and dominance. When I heard about the stem cells the blood contained....I'd taken a course in human genetics in college decades ago and somewhat understand the significance or our RNA and DNA from a more amatuer student standpoint. Yet, what we now know about stem cells and how they can be acquired from even the umbilical cords of newborns, it all makes so much sense in our modern research. Cures and treatments for current disease and ailments is pioneering as I write this post. She needs to watch this, since your research is beyond anything that conventional medical practitioners will ever talk about apparently. I feel it should help many women...and men, possibly to develop a fuller appreciation for the roles males, females or females, males, whichever order seems complementary, to stop baiting each other with wrong conclusions and assumptions based on our upbringing and programming. This is future information of where society will come to in maybe the next 100 years, if not sooner. You are serving your purpose well here, and sorry to know you get haters but I think you are now aware it happens, will happen and you must continue being who you were born to be here...one who teaches and informs and enlightens. Took you through hell and back to realize it, and I've been watching a number of your deep knowledge video talks that help so many, so understand now, crap happens...little consolation until it happens to you, of course. This is of benefit to anyone aware enough, self aware, seeking wisdom that was already in the universe before we were born or experienced life in it's many versions of humanity on earth. You are just a right conduit at the right timeline in humanity where the internet makes sharing such information with the entire globe is made possible. Stay the course you've finally embraced, because we listen with total awareness, most of us here. And we're sharing it with the select friends we feel could also benefit from these words, well said, well thought out and presented in such a clear and human manner as to create controversy among the "professionals" who've often done far worse harm to people simply seeking to understand themselves and master their own lives better. Uphill battle, of course, but if our daughter understands her monthly periods better and shares with her college aged friends who are open to this...we all win. Each one teach one and I've been educated even in my 6th decade about something most men don't want to even discuss since many are not even ready to open their minds to reason and sound insight, not quite yet, but as we share, the walls will begin to crumble and women need to share this as well, for a better world as we advance toward a better society someday. I learned self healing via myofascial release self massage somehow and I didn't expect that in a million years. Yet it works, connective tissue and now understanding the menstrual event...who knows what else we can still learn together as humans, female, male, male, female? Astounding stuff here....returning it to the earth, just makes plenty of sense. I eat less meat now as well, on purpose...I saw one vid of a cow actually crying on the way to slaughter and realized what we've been doing and it's the worst sin to my thinking. The cow was sad, knowing it was about to be slaughtered and scared to tears and no one cared, because it was about profits for the raisers of beef. Not about compassion for animals anymore. This planet would get rid of us and global warming may be the form if we're not careful here...enough for now. Thanks for posting all of this. Men need to watch this too, and it won't take away from anyone's "manhood" to get a dose of reality, now would it? Nope...blessings.

Jani Ra all my life I was told I was disgusting for bleeding. Dating was hard because men never want to stop having sex to give you space to reflect so I just hated being a women. Men always seemed to have more fun, they didn’t have down time. They always were allowed to have sex and express themselves. I was lucky enough to cross paths with a man who taught me a lot. He would tell me how scared I was on my cycle. He would make me tea, tell me to stop working, he would give me a heating pad and bring me flowers home. He would massage my body and it wouldn’t get sexual unless i wanted it to. He would give me space to journal, and he would ask me if I wanted to talk. I wasn’t ashamed then, he tracked my cycles for me and I didn’t even know. One day he came home with pads and tampons for me, and said “ I know your cycle is coming either today or tomorrow, so I got you both so you can decide.” That was 8 years ago unfortunately he passed away.

Certain things you said resonated with me: 1. I have always wondered why religion "hates" women. Why is something natural (that I have no control over) considered a taboo/dirty/unclean. 2. Why can't I have some time off work when on my menses? Why must I go out when all I want to do is rest? I once had a dying plant and a friend told me to give it my menstrual blood. I did that and changed the position of the plant. It's thriving now. Not sure if the blood helped but I do it as a routine. I used to take a drug called Felvin whenever I have cramps. I stopped because I realised that I bled more whenever I took it. I am beginning to embrace my menses as a beautiful stage and my special connection to the lunar cycles. I am also open to learning more ways of appreciating my cycle and viewing it as a gift. Your video has given me more insight. Thank you Teal.

Those are excellent questions! i have theories on those answers but if you are a reader check out "when god was a woman" as well as "the chalice and the blade". Those two books have great insight into your questions Think about telling a boy that a girl has something he can't have.. now, tell him its gross.. this gives us the space to build female traditions, but we started believing it was gross too. Its time to take back our mysteries!

@@patriciadecicco8809 I think it's in the gnostic tradition that they say the snake wanted to help Adam and Eve, in their state of ignorant servitude (being naked as an allegory for them being stripped of their intellect, of their divine power) to the gods (gnostics thought the "God" of the Old Testatment was evil, a false god). And Eve, being more aware and open than Adam, accepted willingly to eat the apple. Adam was reluctant but being a follower, copied Eve. So when the gods discovered their slaves had been enlightened, they punished them. Especially Eve because she would be naturally more in tune with the mysteries of the universe, the one who would be more able to shake off the veil they forced on humanity. So Eve had to receive an extra special punishment. Some say those evil "gods" never forgave Eve.

Teal showing us her period blood painting really touched me. A very generous, trusting and intimate peak into her private life. Felt like sisters sharing secrets. I am perceiving this all through my own internalized shame, I know. Still, I wanted to honor this experience with a comment. Currently rediscovering my cycle after years of being on drugs and the pill, and an irregular bleeding freaked me out, so I am soothing myself with this video. To help my body be heard.

For the first time in a long time (as I have been travelling for a while), I decided to spend a few days in a room of my own. It feels amazing to be able to have my space, to just be, to stretch, play music, express myself in every way. I've been spending time in and near the ocean, and looking at the moon and stars. Last night was the super full moon in Leo, and I sat under its light for a long time, just gazing. And lo and behold this morning I awoke to my cycle. Feeling so blessed

Teal this is beautiful. My heart sinks and I want to cry because I do not have a period anymore and havnt since I was 12. My own mother saw shame in periods and put me on a very powerful birth control at 12 years old to stop them because she thought it was a "wonderful thing" to not have to worry about. i wasnt fully in puberty when I began birth control so it had an effect on my growth and sexual organs. I once came off the medication and I still didnt have a period. I talked to my doctor and she said it would be extremely difficult to get pregnant or regulate my hormones after being on it for so long. I dont have any urge to have children at all but when that option is completely taken away from you to where the decision isnt yours it hurts on a deep level as a woman. My very first period i actually kept secret and i painted a pentagram on paper with my very first menstrual blood. I told this to my wonderful boyfriend and he said "thats a shame you dont still have that painting!" lol I love him. This has to be my favorite video of yours by far. it makes me proud to be a woman even without a period.

Goddess Andravedia So sorry that this happened to you. Hopefully, in time, your body will acclimatize. But I honestly don't understand how you could get birth control pills at age 12? You can only get them through prescription and what kind of doctor would prescribe them to a 12 year old?! I'm really shocked.

Prelestnost2 a very irresponsible doctor! i dont care how difficult or painful your period can be its just wrong to give it mid puberty. but honestly ive known even worse doctors...and parents! there should be a law in place but it would probably be very difficult. :( . at least there are people like teal educating others on its harmful effects.

lemon juice is helpful... changes yer ph... but look into it further for yerself... lemon juice i have tried at times, n i had no complaints... it is very fresh. i forget, but it may or may not interact with condoms in an ok way or might not work well with condoms... i can't remember... but the ph change is supposed to change the environment so no sperm can survive in it... of course u always have to take proper precautions to make sure sex is safe n disease free... and even more so if u r do it sometimes without condom... testing n all that... before hand... i think like 3 months it takes for some diseases to show up on tests if they r a prob that is... but also... can u trust yer partner? n/or r u n yer partner monogamous? u don't have to answer, obv., just posing the questions, for consideration...

also, this might sound bizarre, but i heard it from a hindu teacher... 3 raw adzuki (n/or aduki) beans... yes. 3 raw adzuki (aduki) beans. if u r concerned there might be a risk of pregnancy...?! go get some raw adzuki / aduki beans... n eat 3 raw adzuki / aduki beans... n supposedly u don't need to feel concerned about pregnancy anymore once u eat the 3 raw adzuki / aduki beans... (kinda like a natural version of 'the morning after pill...') i have tried it at least idk maybe 2-3 or maybe 4-5 times? i forget now how many times... not a whole lot... i haven't had that many scares... but i have eaten the 3 raw adzuki / aduki beans, more than only one time, n idk... but i didn't ever get preggos when i didn't wan't to, n when i was a bit concerned, like if say a condom broke or something... n then afterwards, i ate the 3 raw adzuki / aduki beans... n no bb happened... so... idk? u might wish to look further into it for yerselves... fyi... yer welcome... *** :)

I love this. Menstrual blood is the only blood not shed by violence or war. Even non spiritually there are scientific benefits. Stems cells are found in menstrual blood and i heard its very good to pour a little in plants. Obviously menstrual cups might be need unless you free bleed.

I’ve heard one could soak their used feminine products in a bucket of water then pour it out immediately onto plants. So one doesn’t have to use a cup if they wanted to do that. Just make sure it doesn’t sit in water for more than half a day. Just get it into the ground as soon as possible as it could get very unsanitary quick and therefore not good for humans or plants. I would be hesitant to use it on plants growing food though...could be some medical danger in that. I’m not sure. I do know some people would not be appreciative if they knew the tomato they just ate was grown with your period blood.

I'm only a few years away from menopause. I'm aware I've grown up in a culture that doesn't honor it. Also, my family, especially the men in my family reinforced it and shamed it. My mother did the best she could with this attitude being sort of a hippy in attitude. Therefore I've hid it all my life. This is a good time for me to do some rituals and honor it before hitting menopause. Great video. Thanks Teal. 🙏🏻🙌🏼💚

I think people who are squeamish about periods are just terribly childish. It's the kind of guy who thinks women don't fart or poop either, therefore putting them on a pedestal and never seeing them as equal, or it's someone who gets in general embarassed with and about bodily functions. Good luck with relying on such a person if you ever can't appear graceful and collected, especially in an emergency.

I feel the same way about being turned off if a man is grossed by periods. Like bro you're an adult, I've had a period since I was 11 relax 😂😂. Most of us have had periods since being a teenager or preteen so it seems weird to me for an adult to be grossed by it. Something random that I noticed. I get way more attention from men in my period than I do when I'm not. Of course they don't know I'm on my period so I think it's an instinct thing. It's pretty interesting

Watching this for the third time. I was struggling so hard with my period this morning, cramps, low energy and I just put this on. Thank you Teal. Just listening to this brought me back to myslef. It made me stop. It made me listen to my body. Ever since the first time I watched it, I have paid attention to my cycles more, and for the first time in my life I am more aligned with the new moon during my period. Such amazing words for all women. Viva la Yoni! I'm gonna go grab my bloodstone now, I left it charging outside in the sun :)

I have used birth control for almost a decade due to PCOS. I stopped taking them in Jan 2023 and I can tell you in the 10 months since I have discovered a new person within myself. I could have never dreamed that my true self was actually hiding behind those chemicals. It is a long and sometimes painful journey (because I now have to deal with the symptoms of PCOS without any medical buffer), but it's so worth it! if you're also considering stopping taking birth control pills, I urge you to give it a shot. Pregnancy prevention can be done in other ways and PCOS can be handled with sport and diet. It's more complicated, but it's crucial, in my opinion!

Thank you! It is my first baby and I don't plan on either epidural or getting induced, I believe in natural birth, and hope all is going to go as it should.

A lot of pain associated with natural birth and problems can happen, sometimes.Everyone feels different but,I think it's better to go to a hospital. However,it is the person's decision.

"This stuff does not deserve to be going in the trash, or down a toilet...."😂 This video blows my mind, I've never heard anything like this before. Gives me an inkling of a good feeling about my period that I have never had before after over 30 years of suffering with it and thinking it was just the worst thing ever! Thank you.

Ever since I was in elementary school and first got my period and would bleed on my overalls, I felt very ashamed of my period. The past few weeks I’ve been getting synchronicity messages from the universe to change my view on the gift of my cycle. This video really helped open my eyes and give me new perspectives. I’ve always felt very in sync with the moon, and actually really love the idea of calling it my moon cycle. We are divine goddesses, and we should value our bodies and honor them in their entirety. Thank your for opening up this conversation 🙏💖✨

This is interesting and I'm glad I watched. I've noticed recently that my cycle is in sync with the moon cycle and researched why and what this meant and found this video. Thank you for clarifying this belief for all of us.

I just love watching Teals videos. I describe her as my spiritual mentor when I spoke about her to people. I love her deeply and I'm fully thankful for her existence in my reality and I'm extremaly happy that the universe brought me her in the right time in my life when I started to be ready to learn and truly listen what life really is. Thank you Teal for your knowledge and dedication to share the truth with this who listen 🥰💕

At 44 I just started loving my period and want to have it for as long as possible. What made the difference for me was getting a menstrual cup. Before that I hated tampons and pads which meant I hated getting my period. I've had the cup for three months and my attitude has totally changed. After watching this video I want to start collecting it and maybe using it for my plants or something healing. Oh and being with a man who reveres your period as accepting the totality of you as a woman...ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY! Anything less is not a man worth your time. Though not every man I'm with is worth having access to that aspect of my power. I'm looking forward to finding one who does.

Finally!!!! I have been asking for a video about period for years.I have cramps for many years now. Tried everything from pills to meditation to diet changes... At least I don't faint anymore but the pain is still there. The only time I was completely pain free was when I was in a rainbow gathering... Somehow living in a forrest for a week helped me get in tune with my body but since then I have been desperately looking for solutions whenever I get my period cramps. So grateful that you made this video. Thanks!!!Definitely trying out your tips because next week Im gonna have my period ;P

Fiona Raven In combination with what Teal talked about, I've also heard good things about Earthing. It's skin-to-earth contact, research it! It's amazing. :)

Fiona Raven I have had horrible cramps for years too! No painkillers ever seemed to be strong enough. So a few months ago I chose to just sit with my pain without any painkillers without anything but myself. I went through intense pain, it felt like hell, I was about pass out. I kept inviting every cramp that came, even though I admitted how much it hurts. I gave every single cramp my total attention and I felt every bit of my pain. In my next cycle I still felt some pain but it was nothing compared to the pain all the years before. Today is my 4th bleeding without painkillers and such and I rarely feel any pain. Keeps getting better every new cycle. Never thought that would be possible. Might not work for you at all, but it worked wonders for me. :)
