Joel there's a fix for the glow ink farm that will stop the Axolotls being killed. To fix the farm you want to make another 2 deep pool of water with an air gap above it, light level 0, and the same footprint as your spawning chamber directly above the spawning chamber at Y=31 or higher. This will cause the drowned to spawn there and not in the glow squid chamber as drowned always spawn on the highest possible block, forcing the drowned to spawn in the higher pool and not with the axolotls.

Hey Joel, there are a few ways that you could fix your glow ink sack farm: Option 1: Replace the axolotls with guardians. Guardians will attack glow squids, but not drowned. If you need help getting guardians from an ocean monument into your base, Tango, Impulse, Cub, and Scar all have experience wrangling guardians from past seasons. But you don't want to get rid of the axolotls, they're axolotls, and therefore amazing. Option 2: take the farm, and push it somewhere else. Drowned only spawn in oceans, rivers, and dripstone caves. If you move the farm to another biome, it would work just fine. That sounds like a lot of work, though, and it would be awkward to deal with the building on top, so Option 3: Drowned need 2 vertical blocks of space to spawn, whereas glow squids only need 1. Therefore, you could fill every 2nd layer of your farm with something like chains, that items and axolotls can squeeze through, but which would block the drowned from spawning.

The idea of a beautiful little park with trees and ponds separating two cyberpunk districts is so cool. People often treat cyberpunk as dystopian and anti-nature by default but just that little addition shows something more to the story in this case. I love it! I don't know if your permit rules allow voluntary collective stores but if they do you should consider making a lush cave themed store with Gem! She's got the moss and clay, you've got the glow berries and glow ink. Also Iskall has a great setup for a slime farm already. Maybe there's room for collaboration there? Cleo is making a bookshop so she may take mid-tier off your hands. Or I think joehills has the low tier ones and is earnestly planning a shop.

hey joel, this is a little bit confusing but im going to try and explain best i can! lots of words in japanese can mean multiple things, so using the word for entrance or gate on your sign wasnt bad! what you swapped it out for was a localized version of the english word entrance, which also isnt bad, but usually isnt what japanese people would use to label something like an entrance. So depending on what you want its important to look at the options for words, bc japanese uses two syllabaries (katakana usually for words from other languages, and hiragana for regular words usually to be clearer and simpler) as well as kanji borrowed from china which are more complex and have many ways to read them and different meanings tied to different readings. So i would definitely recommend looking at reputable sites that have references for the word your looking for in the different syllabaries and which is likely to be the one used in what context. Because words like entrance exist already in japanese, whereas something like hamburger only exists in katakana bc it was adopted from english! i hope this makes sense, japanese is super interesting language and its great to see someone eager to learn about it! Also im not an expert per se so if anyone has any corrections to what i said here please do correct me!

Hey, you can help your axolotls last longer by setting up a few conduits around the glow squid farm. They attack hostile water mobs in a 8 block radius from the conduit. You wouldn’t need the full prismarine setup either which means you can hide them in the wall. You would need a few conduit due to the size of your farm, but you would also not have to restock axolotls as often.

Replace a couple of blocks in the floor of the glow squid farm with magma blocks, then make a hopper minecart run around beneath all of the magma blocks and above a hopper collection system. The squid will die on the magma and give you glow ink. Currently, Iskall's decommissioned creeper farm gives more glow ink sacs than your glow squid farm.

you should make all the mid teir books be crafted from indevidually combining level 1 books so the anvil uses will be increadibly high and it will cost a lot of xp to apply so you can sell more xp bottles. its simple economics that someone as genius as you probably already know

Loving the different ways in which the hermits are recapping at the beginning of episodes. Gem started because she understands from a viewer standpoint that it's hard to keep up with 20+ perspectives, so even tho the news thing was just for fun, I really hope recaps become a regular thing on everyones channel. Or perhaps an /official/ Hermitcraft recap channel where every hermit can select up to 60 seconds-worth of highlights from their recent episode to compile into a simple, weekly recap.
