the Yadriel starter pack!! 💀 i love it!! the dumb boy energy in this book is unmatched and i adore it with my ENTIRE SOULLL the being out and accepted to an extent is SO real and made me so frustrated. i briefly came out to abuelita once and she was like “of course i love you, but just never do that (date a girl?) again” and continued to act the way she wanted. that dynamic in latinx families is so hurtful. like a tiny spark of hope with a whole lot of pain right after that smothers that spark “there was a lot of deep breathing exercises and inhuman noises” that’s it, that’s the reading experience 💀💗

AHHHHHHHH! This is my most anticipated release for this year and it makes me immensely happy to see you receive a proof of it and love it soooo much. I couldn't ask for more. This release hits so many points I am going to love and hearing your praise makes me feel whole and alive. I'm nervous about the ending, not because I think it'll be bad but because it will DESTROY me, but either way I can't wait. Thank you for this great video. As someone who isn’t transgender or Latinx, I can only understand an extent of what one might feel when being mislabeled or accepted to an extent, and I loved hearing how true Yadriel’s experiences were for you. I just finished this amazing book Saturday morning at 4 am and went to work at 9 am, but it was definitely worth it. These boys were adorable and wholesome and I’ll miss them a whole lot 🤧💕 And after watching this video, my love for Cemetery Boys and Yadriel and Julian has only grown.

☠️ That looks like such a good book! I will definitely be looking forward to that. I recently got The Deep & Dark Blue by Niki Smith (which came out in January) that I'm excited to read. It's a young readers graphic novel that's dystopian with a trans main character. It looked super neat and the art work was so cool. Another 2020 release that I was recently introduced to is Upright Women Wanted by Sarah Gailey (which came out in February). It's queer and antifacist and a fantasy western - so it sounds like an experience. Felix Ever After by Kacen Kallender one that isn't out yet that I'm excited for. It's a YA about self-discovery and falling in love that centers around a trans poc.
