great to see you get the reward for all your efforts Ben and hopefully there is a feeling of accomplishment from this visit. I know how you feel as Battersea Power Station has been a bit of a nemesis for me but that's the allure of photography, it keeps pulling you back to try again

We all have that one location or destination that we cannot capture as we visualise it or have seen in other photographers’ images. As you say, keep trying and one day….you shall get your Battersea Power Station!

Great shots Ben, well done! Of all the people I know, you're one of the most dedicated to perseverance, so you deserve all your success!

Cheers Gordon, Arundel is close enough to justify the amount of return trips, but far enough to sigh when the conditions are not what you expected.

Love your drone footage.

Cheers Joseph! The drone saved me that day!

Really wonderful images Ben. I’m finally understanding what you were going for.

Thank you! I am pretty chuffed with the result. It was a bit if a last minute plan, I really wanted a lie in that day!

those drone shots of the castle and mist/fog are great Ben

Cheers Darcy, it was fortunate that I packed the drone that morning, it is not often in the camera bag.

@@benharveyphotography I love good drone footage and often say to myself if only you had a drone as well as a camera, then remember it would end up either lost at sea and there's way too much plastic there already, or an expensive, unplanned, unrequested decoration to the side of some building 🤣

Wellf done! Now all I need is some fog the next I come over and visit family in the area! Not too much to ask for, is it? Cracking video!

Ahhhhh maaannn. Yep, ya nailed it man… I have not wanted to shoot that location until now… beautiful shots Ben. One day I’ll do it justice. Loved the vid 👍

Thanks Louise, I am happy to join you at any sign of mist around the castle!

Congratulations, job well done! It's fun to see the images you're happy with. I don't remember a drone image in the past. I'm a bit surprised they let you fly. Most kool places in the US are off limits. My favorites: @ 2:36; 4:22; 4:33 and 4:38.

Thanks Brian, yes you are allowed to fly your drone in the area that I was in. As long as your avoid no fly zones (Shoreham By Sea where I live for example) and keep your distance from uninvolved persons you are on the right side of the drone law. I passed my exams a few years ago, so I am up to speed with what is permitted. The results are worth it!

@@benharveyphotography I agree completely! Oh yeah, happy birthday I believe is in order? It is F1 racing in Vegas next week and I seem to recall that was your birthday season too. Another topic: I'm thinking about getting one of my G9s converted for IR. What wavelengths do you recommend? There is like seven options at one company I found.

Ideally, I would set up a camera (or two) timelapsing while I wandered around shooting other stuff. Likely using a macro lens. If an image is what the camera records, and a photograph is what you have after you've had your way with it, how many images can you pack into a photograph?
