Lol...The fly was buzzing around behind you Dariush a few times but what really got my attention was the Orto Parisi artwork?...maybe it was all those things you mentioned it was "a hairy deep forest"?..and "a play of light" or maybe no light?..and it may just be "an infinite hole" as well!?...anyhoo art is art and it's quite subliminal(sublime?) your guess is as good as mine...hahaha... ^__* The scent you described though sounds great! I love those kinds of fragrances, balsamic and a bit dark & resinous! Again such a wonderful video and reviews! Thank YOU! :D

I’m going to be controversial. I hate most popular perfumes: Chanel no 5, J’adore and all sickly sweets: La Vie etc. Although I found your review hilarious and entertaining and I agree about the name and the blurb, the dry-down (which is the most important part for a fragrance obviously because that is how it will smell for the majority of the time) of the Elie Saab on my skin is good - pistachio and musk, not too gourmand, not too floral - just musky, dusted with sugar pistachio, it’s the pistachio that gives it a touch of character. It is definitely a winter scent though and has to be used with caution because it’s very strong. It’s not for a sophisticated moment, I wouldn’t repurchase but it does develop acceptably and is much better than most popular sweet scents which are gross imo.

The intimate flashing hole of the centre! Brilliant! The PR and packaging bullshit is supremely entertaining! Thank you! That Elie Saab frag, damn - I had a quick whiff in store the other day and it was so cheap and trashy. Not good for that brand at all and doesn't reflect their couture fashion.

Oh here we go .... the snootishness is coming out now ahahaha. Notice I use snoot-ish as opposed to the definite snooty. But of course I am only teasing you. One of the things that I found endearing on your videos is how much self-awareness and the self-reflection you have, during your talk. You're very considerate and often retract or not so much as retract but restate the almost criticism hehehe. We did lambast the literature that came with the fragrances on this video and I do agree with the sentiments. Anyone can just write anything these days, I've noticed these to become the journalism ethos after the new millennium, everything just becomes extreme and overly saccharine. And I just love all the facial expressions you have in this video hahaha! So far I think this is the most entertaining that I have watched yet!

Do you think that mainstream perfume is intentionally meant to be so boring and similar in many cases . It seems to me that the money is spent on ridiculous press releases and expensive marketing rather than creating an interesting fragrance. What I’m trying to say not very well is do they care about the finished product smelling crap .

This is a complex subject - much too complex to debate here. I think that, ultimately, no brand wants to make a perfume that isn’t going to sell.

Shame on you for taking your record player back lol . I love mine but mainly because I like jazz ‘ the American songbook and have loads of records from the 80’ and 90’s and late 70’s 12in and 7in singles and so hardly a hipster. Maybe you changed your mind over the last three years.
