What helps me is allow all of the feelings to come up, but don't get lost in them - simply observe them as they pass through your body

I know what you mean. It can be absolutely terrifying at times, like the fear will overwhelm you if you let it in. But by allowing the feelings that come to be exactly as they are, by allowing the thoughts that come to be exactly as they are, they come, rise and fade, and you are left, at peace. It takes practice and courage. But you have this courage within you. You *can* do this. Let the fear come. You are strong. Let them wash over you and subside. Remind yourself that on the other side of the fear, you will feel a deep rest, and sense of well-being, and renewed belief in yourself, that you have faced this and persevered. Don’t try to silence the mind and shut the feelings out. Let them come. It’s okay. You can do this. I believe in you:)

In the context of this meditation, since I could not stop all thought, it helped me to visualize them as different breeds of barking dogs representing the different types of thoughts (worry, fear, etc.). Then I would resolve to not pay attention to the barking and lose interest in the dogs until they lost interest in me and slowly left.

@@TonyTony-dn2ir I also started meditation from 1 week btt still thoughts r arising .. terrifying thoughts I can't even tell u how distrubing it is.. I m not able to study when I try to focus on something they arise my all intention goes on that thing dnt knw how to deal with it if u have any idea give me some tips...
