@@sethcashman1011 I did not mention ISO 80 as an improvement, because, as currently implemented by Fujifilm, it provides no advantage at all (and potentially some disadvantage). My first job out of college in 1966 was working for Dick Boyer Studio in Chicago. Dick was the highest paid commercial color photographer in Chicago (Vic Skrebneski was the highest paid B & W photographer). All our studio work with models was done with standard Hasselblad lenses and big strobes, but most of our location work with models was done with a focal-plane-shutter Hasselblad and a big, blue metallic 500mm f4.5 lens form somewhere in Eastern Europe. Nobody talked about bokeh in those days, but Dick Boyer’s trademark was wildly out-of-focus backgrounds made with a full-frame Hasselblad and that fast 500mm lens. Whenever we traveled by plane for location.shoots, we flew first class and Dick carried on his big blue lens.

@@punn1692Has anyone said the footage can't look good? It's not hard to figure out that you have to keep different factors apart from each other. Those aren't mutually exclusive things. I can only say that from my experience owning the 100s. The way I describe the 100s is that it is my midlife crisis camera. It is a nice camera to have, but I have no real need for the camera. The biggest pain with the 100s was the AF, which could work great in certain situations but in others was a complete nightmare. Hopefully the 100s II fixes those issues. Knowing what I know now after owning the 100s, I would say that I have no need of the camera and I definitely could have invested my money better, but the images are still great, though Ido get a lot of hot pixels, which need cleaning up in post-production.
@v000000000000v6 ай бұрын
imo only if you need 100 MP or you want an equivalent lens that doesn't exist in FF system, otherwise there's not much real upgrade, there are several other tradeoffs such as AF speed, burst, rolling shutter, size and weight (lenses are extremely heavy especially when you compare equivalent focal length and aperture) etc, i use a gfx50r but only exclusively with fast vintage/manual lenses that's beyond any FF lenses FF systems are so optimized that there are often more downsides than upsides when jumping to MF

I’ve made the switch from a M10 to a 50R, a X100V and some glass and haven’t looked back since. I recently upgraded to a 50S II for the IBIS and better grip. But I’d say it really depends on your style of shooting. I pretty much only shoot static shots and landscape-ish shots so AF even on the 50MP bodies is absolutely fine for me, even in lower light. And the 100MP cameras are a lot better regarding AF. I just love the look of a even bigger sensor (especially nice with vintage lenses) and the native 4:3 aspect ratio (to me it has a more artistic vibe idk :)) But a skilled photographer with a good calibrated rangefinder will probably be faster than a GFX autofocus.

Almost all GFX lenses have very slow (and noisy) AF, so a better AF performance of the camera doesn't play the deciding role. If the algorithm is the same: the AF tracking of the XH2/XH2s is years behind the (FF) competition, so frustration is probably guaranteed, even with the fastest focusing GFX lenses available.
