Hahahaha i was used to gingerly treating my dog like a baby, helping her do lots of things when she got old lady ankles but when I got my cat and she just parkours and gets into the most insane situations, i was having such anxiety. I also couldn't understand how to pick her up because she's so bendy and weird feeling. I thought she'd never forgive me for giving her medicine since my doggo would mope the WHOLE DAY but she came up and nuzzled me right after. My dog couldn't stand being covered in even a little filth and my cat seems to enjoy trying her best to get into filth(she rubbed against the plunger. THE PLUNGER!) Its weird because I was told so much about cats and read about why they are preferred over dogs and she basically... isn't at all what I expected from cat lovers and she does plenty of the stuff people claimed to hate dogs for 🤔 I also find it strange they say cats are so much cleaner ... but ill leave out the details of that one Idk maybe I got a cat-like dog and a doglike cat, or maybe animals are each individuals and can still vary beyond stereotypes. I can't understand just dropping an animal either way tbh even if it can land safely even if you got used to cats. Wth? I mean would you just drop a baby? Lol

@@lolnothxyt As someone who works with toddlers I assure you even if you do not mean to drop them those kiddos jump out of your hands like they are made of trampolines. Most of my day is trying to keep kids from accidently being dropped because they think they are acrobats lol.

I have 100% done that exact same thing after being way too used to being around cats. And everyone around me was like “NOOOOO!!!” And “WTF JESSIE?!” And yeah, I felt horrible. That was years ago and I’ll never forget it and I’ll never forget to set a dog down ever again.

Grant Manor I see it the other way around. Dropping the dog wasn't even a funny joke. Not in the sense of "you can't joke about that" - it's just not funny. But the way he went there was very funny. Dropping the dog wasn't the real punchline.

I’ve been around cats my whole life too but I did also grow up with a dog, so idk where I learned it-probably just loving animals tenderly-but I put BOTH animals down gently every time. I know a cat can handle it but why should I drop my baby just for that fact alone? I’d feel bad. I may be delulu about this, but I think it gives my cats another reason to trust and love me, especially the anxious ones.
