I was surprised in a nice way when Pete mentioned Mathias Jabs and Joe Lynn Turner were part of the best concert he ever saw. Two very underrated names in the world of rock music.

Wow that's awesome. I think the only shows that could make that list better would be Genesis with Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett and a Beatles concert, probably the Rooftop one. Also, notice how he says first next to some, which basically implies that he saw all of the monster bands like Queen and Floys prior to the shows he saw them

Thanks for sharing some great personal memories with us, Pete. This is the toughest list of all to put together - I can’t number them in order of preference, or even claim they were the greatest gigs I have attended, but these are 20 that are special for me. In date order: June 24 1980 - Whitesnake at Hammersmith Odeon (recorded for Live in the Heart of the City album) August 1980 - Pink Floyd at Earls Court, London (The Wall concert) September 1980 - Kiss at Wembley Arena, London Sept 22 1980 - Journey at Rainbow Theatre, London (not many English there; mainly US servicemen) Jan 27 1981 - April Wine at Hammersmith Odeon, London (recorded for Live in London DVD) April 1982 - Scorpions & Blackfoot at Hammersmith Odeon March 1983 - Thin Lizzy at Hammersmith Odeon (final tour) July 4 1985 - Bruce Springsteen at Wembley Stadium (I chose this ahead of Live Aid - rightly so!) July 5 1986 - Rod Stewart / ELO at Wembley Stadium July 12 1986 - Queen / Status Quo at Wembley Stadium July 2 1988 - Sting / Bryan Adams / INXS at Torhout festival, Belgium Nov 15 1988 - David Lee Roth at Wembley Arena Nov 17 1988 - Rory Gallagher at Dominion theatre, London December 1988 - Little Feat & Bonnie Raitt at Town & Country Club, London Jan 4 1989 - The Alarm / Escape Club at Brixton Academy, London Sep 28 1989 - Katrina & The Waves at Mean Fiddler, London (best pub gig) July 4 1990 - Prince at Wembley Arena March 16 1995 - Foreigner / Doobie Brothers at Wembley Arena July 13 1996 - Eagles at Wembley Stadium June 26 1999 - Aerosmith / Lenny Kravitz / Stereophonics / Black Crowes at Wembley Stadium.

My first gig was 40 years ago this December - Yes on the Drama tour at The Rainbow Theater. So thats memorable for that reason. My favourite gig was Queen at Knebworth in 86. Others I would call out in no particular order... AC/DC - so many but the Hammersmith Odeon reopening in 2003 was brilliant Suede - Coming Up Tour 96. The Roundhouse. My Wife's favourite band Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Earls Court. Reunion Tour. 1999 Prince - Batman tour. Wembley Arena. My eldest sons first gig. Status Quo - Hammersmith Odeon 1982 Neil Young - Hammersmith Odeon 2007. He played two sets. Acoustic follwed by a plugged in set. Just amazing. Scorpions - Blackout Tour Hammersmith Odeon Judas Priest - Hammersmith. Defenders of the Faith Tour Sabbath (Ozzy) - 13 tour. O2 Arena Sabbath (Heaven & Hell) - Wembley Arena Queens of the Stone Age - Like Clockwork Tour Wembley Arena 2013 Green Day - American Idiot - Hammersmith Odeon. Im not really a Green Day fan. I took my yougest son. They were phenominal. Motorhead - Again so many but I saw them at the Marquee Club on the Another Perfect Day Tour. Met Lemmy. Iron Maiden - Again so many (e.g Powerslave tour in 86) but the Clive Burr benefit gig at Hammersmith Odeon was special. They blew the roof off. Rush - Moving Pictures/ESL Wembley Arena 1981 U2 - Joshua Tree Tour 1987 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - so many but the first time I saw them at Brixton Academy on the No More Shall We Part tour was mind blowing Kasabian - Dec 2014. I had just been made redundant and my two sons took me to see Kasabian at the Brixton Academy. They are brilliant live. For two hours I forgot about my worries. Kiss - Lick it Up Tour Wembley Arena The Cure - The Wish Tour 1992 London Olympia Cream Reunion Tour - Royal Albert Hall. I took my Dad. Brilliant.

Thanks for sharing Pete. I have been blessed to see great bands at their zenith. Top shows for moi are: 1. Jethro Tull 1974 Passion Play LA Forum (first concert. I have seen them at least 35 times) 2. Led Zepplin 1975 Physical Graffiti show (LA Forum saw them again when they toured Presence) 3. Pink Floyd 1975 LA Sports Arena Wish you were here 4. Bruce Springsteen in Gothenburg, Sweden Born to Run - non-stop rocking for 3.5 hours 5. Who 1983 Oakland Coliseum during their first farewell tour 6. Rush 2014 Ziggo Arena in Amsterdam. Clockwork Angels tour. I have seen them a few times before. Always amazing. Even more exceptional with the string section. 7. Yes. 1975 Hollywood Bowl. Relayer Tour. Seem them another 10 times with and without Rick but the first time was the most memorable. 8. Paul McCartney 2009 Rotterdam Arena. What a great experience seeing a Beatle who showed how to rock n roll 9. Grateful Dead 1982 Greek Theater Berkeley. Seen them several times - this was the first. Too much fun 10. Gentle Giant and Renaissance 1977 Shrine Auditorium LA. Two of my favorite bands on the same bill. Extra Elton John 1975 in LA Forum after Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, he can rock

Saw them in Cleveland around that time! No one else in my neighborhood heard of them and no radio airplay, so my bro & a friend made the 100-mile journey. Iggy Pop opened & the police were in the wings waiting for the peanut butter to come out. After about 3 songs the police swooped in & practically carried him off stage. Never seen anything like it!

Thanks for this, Pete. I’m stuck in my flat in Italy and can only go out briefly to buy food. This channel is more important to me than ever at the moment! I’m in need of distractions so I’m going to try to list my top 25 gigs with a line or two about each one. *1. Neil Young with Booker T. and the M.G.’s (Finsbury Park, London, 1993)* Playing with such fabulous musicians made Neil raise his game and the whole show was just jaw-droppingly brilliant. It was a filthy day, raining hard and a lashing wind. When he started ‘Like a Hurricane’ the wind acted like a Leslie cabinet and made his guitar sound all shimmery, it was magical. *2. Radiohead (South Park, Oxford, 2001)* There are times when music can transport you to another place. There was a torrential downpour during their show and I was soaked to the skin. I took my shirt off and just stared up at the stars through the falling rain. They started ‘Pyramid Song’ and I was gone... *3. Richard Thompson (100 Club, London, 1999)* My favourite musician and he played an absolute blinder in front of around 200 people. During one song his guitar started playing up and he was visibly annoyed. When his roadie changed it over, he vented his frustration by going into this long solo in which he employed all the styles of pleying he normally went nowhere near - Hendrix feedback, finger tapping, McLaughlin-like jazzy runs. My friend Phil who didn’t know his music well just turned to me at the end and said one word - “Fuck.” *4. Supertramp (Earls Court, London, 1983)* My second show, I had never felt as happy as I did that night, aged 14. Magnificent. *5. Stevie Wonder (Wembley Arena, London, 1987)* One of the geniuses of music played an incredible show backed by his stellar band. He even did us the favour of playing the only two songs I didn’t like back to back (‘I Just Called to Say I Love You’ and ‘Part Time Lover’) so I could go to the bar. As I re-entered the venue the riff to ‘Sir Duke’ kicked in. Bliss. *6. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (Hyde Park, London, 2017)* My one and only time seeing him and he blew me away. The whole band were superb and Mike Campbell is one of the great, unsung guitar players. He can do it all. That gig restored my faith in music. *7. Genesis (Birmingham NEC, 1984)* The ‘Mama’ tour, made such an impression on me. A school friend’s dad drove us up there and we were all knocked out by the music and the light show, which for the time was completely groundbreaking. *8. Little Feat (Town and Country Club, London, 1989)* Their first show in London in years, and the crowd was ready to party. They played all the classics, each one met with a huge roar of recognition. Bonnie Raitt supported and joined them onstage near the end. Wonderful. *9. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (Shepherds Bush Empire, London, 1998)* I’d seen Page with The Firm in the ‘80s and wished I hadn’t. So I was a bit nervous as to how he would play. Brilliantly, was the answer. The tight-knit band was so on it and from the opening ‘Wanton Song’ onwards we knew we were in for a treat. Better than many Zeppelin shows if truth be told. *10. Deep Purple (Knebworth Park, 1985)* I’m not sure I’d still rate this so highly if I saw it today, but at the time I loved it and was ridiculously happy. When Blackmore started the riff to ‘Smoke on the Water’ the sound engineer bounced each part of it to a different speaker stack in the vast field. The effect was extraordinary. *11. The Cure (Wembley Arena, London, 1987)* Three-and-a-half hours of gloomy, goth magnificence, just before Christmas. Robert Smith came on for the encore dressed as Santa Claus and they did ‘Merry Xmas Everybody’ by Slade. *12. Rubén González (Ronnie Scott’s, London, 1996)* A truly joyous evening of music from the Cuban pianist. When he took his solo all the members of his band stopped playing and stood around his piano, watching a master at work. *13. Pete Townshend’s Deep End (Brixton Academy, London, 1985)* An unforgettable mix of fantastic solo tunes and Who classics, mainly played on acoustic guitar. Blinding versions of ‘I’m One’ and ‘Magic Bus’. David Gilmour was on lead guitar for the whole show. *14. Bingo Hand Job (R.E.M.) (The Borderline, London, 1991)* Stipe and co. played a small gig in front of 400 people under a fake name. It was so amazing seeing them in such a small space. *15. Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham (The Embassy Rooms, London, 1999)* The southern soul legends gave a masterclass in front of a small crowd in a supper club. Brilliant songs, brilliantly sung and played. *16. Ry Cooder and Rosanne Cash (SF Jazz, San Francisco, 2018)* An evening of Johnny Cash songs played by a stellar band. Especially poignant evening because I was with my dear friend Alessandra who was terminally ill and passed away just a few months later. She loved it. *17. Robert Palmer (Town and Country Club, London, 1990)* Such an underrated performer. A great songwriter who made some of the finest music of the 1970s and early ‘80s. The whole show was a revue, so all the songs segued into one another. Just a stunning show by a major talent. *18. ZZ Top (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 1983)* Greasy, hairy and loud. They did all the old stuff and ‘Eliminator’ was fresh still so sounded good. Lemmy brushed past me in the stalls and I came within an inch or two of a wart. *19. PJ Harvey (Shepherds Bush Empire, London, 1998)* Such an incredible performer and - ahem - sexy as fuck. She will go down as one of the greats of her era. An absolutely brilliant night. *20. Queen and Adam Lambert (Unipol Arena, Bologna, 2017)* I was on crutches after fracturing my knee and right down the front on the floor. I was in a lot of pain but when they came on I forgot all about it. Just a magical evening, all the classics played superbly. Lambert was so humble and engaging, threw himself into it. *21. Bruce Springsteen (Royal Albert Hall, London, 1996)* A solo show, just him with an acoustic guitar and a harmonica. I honestly much preferred hearing his songs without the bombast of the E. Street Band. He was fantastic, so powerful. Light and shade. *22. Lhasa (Carling Academy, London, 2005)* A joyous evening in support of her wonderful album ‘The Living Road’. She passed away not long afterwards and is much missed. *23. Randy Newman (Royal Festival Hall, London, 2010)* One of my favourite songwriters didn’t disappoint at the first concert I’d seen my him. Classic after classic, played with verve and good humour. *24. James Taylor (Lucca, Italy, 2018)* I’m not a huge fan of his but he just played one of the best shows I’ve seen in years. His voice is as strong as it ever was and his band was faultless. Steve Gadd was on drums and was so good he practically lifted all the musicians a foot off the stage. *25. 10cc (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 1983)* My first ever show, I was on cloud nine for about two weeks afterwards. They did all the classics to perfection. The 14-year-old me was in heaven.

Like you said, there is more than just the band. It is the atmosphere, personal experience and other factors that lead to a great show. 1. 1981 Foghat/Blue Oyster Cult. Robbie Krieger of the Doors appeared for an encore of Roadhouse blues with BOC. 2. 1995 - Page and Plant. Since I never saw Zeppelin this was the next best thing. 3. 1987 - Pink Floyd. Never saw them as an intact foursome. 4. 1990 - Paul McCartney. Hearing those Beatles songs was a goose-bumping experience. 5. 1976 - Bob Seger and SB Band with KISS as the backup. Right after Night Moves and Destroyer were released. 6. 1980 - Yes in the round on the Drama tour. Drama a top 5 album for me. 7. 1981 - Max Webster and Rush Moving Pictures tour. 8. 1982 - Glen Frey and Fleetwood Mac. Mirage tour. 9. 1982 - Billy Squier and The Who. 10. 2017 - Midnight Oil. always a favorite and only time I got tho see them 11. 1986 - Stevie Ray Vaughn with BB King and Joe Cocker. Got to see SRV 3 times in his short career. 12. 1992 - U2 Zoo Station tour. 13. 1993 - Jethro Tull on their 25th Anniversary tour. 14. 2009 - AC/DC only time I saw them. 15. 2012 - Los Lobos and Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

A few years ago I saw Marah (a Pennsylvania bar band) play a tiny gig in a tiny pub in my hometown of Birmingham, England. There were about twelve people in the audience. The energy and talent and enthusiasm coming from that stage (about the size of an XXXL pizza) was enough to fill Wembley Stadium.

1. Paul McCartney - Safeco Field Seattle 2013 (what can say, the dude's a legend) ; 2. Ozzy Osbourne w/Randi Rhodes (a very young, pre-pop Def Leppard was the opening act) - Convention Hall Asbury Park 1981 ; 3. Yes - East Rutherford 1984 (I was stone cold sober and Yes still raised the roof on Starship Trooper); 4. The Who - Shea Stadium 1982 - Standing on the outfield grass listening to Love Reign O'er Me under a gentle drizzle - sublime; 5. Black Sabbath/Quiet Riot - Born Again tour - Philadelphia 1983 (my first live Ian Gillan concert ); 6. Deep Purple - East Rutherford 3/9/85 - The Reunion; 7. Deep Purple - Radio City Music Hall 1991 - it was so fucking loud and so fucking awesome to hear them open with Burn; 8. Grateful Dead - Giants Stadium 1992 - Summertime with the Dead was quite the thing in college; 9. Bob Dylan - Garden State Art Center - June '88 - the beginning of the Neverending Tour - perfect sound and performance; 10. Bruce Springsteen - Tom Joad (Acoustic) tour - Salt Lake City 1996 - Stood in the back of Abravanel Hall but the acoustics and performance were great; 11. Jethro Tull/Whitesnake - MSG '80 (first Whitesnake) - Whitesnake blew Tull away and I still remember the thrill of seeing Coverdale, Lord and Paice for the first time; 12. Rolling Stones - East Rutherford 1981 - Tattoo You tour, mail order ticket lottery. It was an "event" and on a school night, and my parents let me stay home from school the next day. Good times:-) 13. Rainbow/Pat Travers - Capital Theater Passaic 1981 (my first Blackmore show) - I still remember the epic "Catch The Rainbow" that night; 14. Whitesnake - Purple Tour - Tacoma 2013 - I agree with Pete - the chance to hear DP MkIII and IV numbers was too great to pass up and the show was awesome; 15. Rush - Auburn, WA 2010 - Time Machine Tour. Great seats, outdoor show at a beautiful tribal amphitheater outside Seattle, wonderful performance and acoustics; 16. Judas Priest - East Rutherford 1984 - Defenders of the Faith tour. Another "event," and a great show; 17. Grateful Dead - MSG September 1992 - Had seats right on Jerry's side of the stage, maybe eight rows up, danced the night away. Probably my favorite Dead show ever attended; 18. Deep Purple/Joe Satriani/Thin LIzzy - Ridgefield, WA 2004 (What's not to love? Your favorite band playing in your town, and your wife scores you 13th row seats?); 19. Blondie/Duran Duran/David Johanson - East Rutherford 1982, just before heading off to college. Deborah Harry was IT in those days; 20. The Kinks - East Rutherford 1981. Because The Kinks; 21. Judas Priest / Uriah Heep - Portland 2019 (first time seeing Heep - thanks for stoking my interest Pete! Priest killed too!); 22. Rainbow/Scorpions - MSG 1982 - same show as Pete's #1. My kid brother recently reminded me that we left him (he was underaged at the time) outside the Blarney Stone while we drank some beers before the show. Ritchie blew up his fucking amp with his Strat. 'Nuff said. (I learned later it was a cheap Japanese knockoff, but who cares, it's rock and roll theater!) 23. The Police - Zenyatta Mondata tour - MSG 1981. I think it was their first Garden show and they killed; 24. Blondie - Portland 2004 - Debbie Harry and crew still have it. Saw them in the Crystal Ballroom, 10 feet from the stage. Fucking awesome. 25. Steve Earle / Del McCoury Band - Portland 1999 - Can't stand his latter-day in concert political preachiness but man, the reformed outlaw country bad boy puts on a great show.

Great content Pete! Keep it coming! Here are my top 5 most wondrous concert experiences: 5 - Styx - Return to Paradise tour 1997 (Became a big Styx fan in the late 80’s and I never thought I’d have a chance to see the JY/Tommy/Dennis combo on a stage together! Like Dennis actually said on stage that night - “Dreams do come true!”. Kansas opened and wasn’t too bad.) 4 - Robert Cray Band - 2007 (Saw them at a casino of all places, but it actually was a great venue. They sounded impeccable! This night I brought a new friend of mine and introduced him to the blues. The best part of the show was the encore … in favor of an up-tempo number, Robert played “Time Makes Two”, really one of the most haunting ballads you will ever hear! What a cool moment!) 3 - Petra - Beat the System tour 1985 ( I was a big fan but only in 8th grade at the time so my elder cousin was chaperone for me and my younger brother. This was Petra at the height of their techno prog rock bliss! Incredible show, bought the t-shirt, raised my fists, sung the words and it was my first true concert experience. I was attending a Christian school at the time and had lots of classmates also at the show. Great memories anticipating that concert and sharing impressions with my friends at school the day after!) 2 - Ozzfest first tour, 1997 at the Metrodome (This was at the height of the Columbine/Marilyn Manson drama so it got moved from Wisconsin to the Metrodome. But what a lineup. Fear Factory, Type O Negative, Machine Head, Pantera, Ozzy, Sabbath! When Sabbath closed the evening the place turned into a Baskin Robbins of reefer. For me the best high is a contact high, and there was none like that!) 1 - Queensryche Operation Livecrime 1992 (Queensryche at the height of their powers. The band was totally in the zone during that phase of the tour, even better than the Livecrime official recording that came out later. Seeing Mindcrime played in its entirety like that had an impact on me, made me a much bigger fan of music, they are probably responsible for me writing this right now!)

The Rolling Stones on their Tattoo You tour. Prince opened, followed by George Thorogood & The Destroyers, J.Geils Band and finally The Stones. The Who with T-Bone Burnett and The Clash opening. Paul McCartney in Los Angeles the week after the riots. The air still smelled like ashes. David Bowie on his last tour. The Santa Barbara Bowl which is a small venue. Neil Young, Stephen Stills. Ritchie Furray (Buffalo Springfield) on their brief reunion tour. Also at Santa Barbara Bowl Allman Brothers Band on their last tour with Dickie Betts. The Who at The Hollywood Bowl the first show after Entwistle died. A very emotional scene. The Pretenders touring on their 2nd album with the original band. Bruce Springsteen opening up the Staples Center. ZZ Top in a bar after they played the Chumash Casino. The casino didn't have a alcohol license yet so they crossed the street to drink and play. Hi Pete love your show i know how much you love prog , have you heard of the German band Eloy , Fantastic band that's been going for years, with a wealth of albums to discover. I can't believe how much of the stuff you like that i love too, take a look at a book that is written by tony Visconti which details the bands that he was the producer you'll be surprised just how much of the early classics that he was involved in. sorry if this is old news but only just found you on you tube .

@9:04 . . . Pete, How could you see Kansas in 2009 with Ronnie Platt? He did not join the band until 2014. I believe the tour you're referring to where the band performed both Leftoverture and Point of no Return in their entirety, was in Dec. 2019, was it not? The one you went to with the Mighty Jeff Young and did a review of here on your channel, then you and Jeff had Ronnie on Jeff's Radio Show which was very cool.

My 2 favorite metal bands on the same bill. Glad to have seen Dio before he passed away... - Ghost, Paris 2015. I was living in Paris back then, and the show was a few days after the Bataclan terrorist attack where 2 of my friends had been killed. I almost didn't do but thought "f- it, I'm not going to give into fear". It was before the band's big break so the venue was small (150 seats). Forge came onstage waving a French flag with the Ghost logo, delivered a heart warming speech then proceeded to blow everybody's mind with track from the brand new Meliora album. - Neil Young, Hyde Park 2009. I really like your channel! And I have also seen several hundred shows! I'm a huge music fan, of many different genres, I even played in a touring Metal band for well over a decade. I have also saved my concert ticket stubs going back to 1982. My first concert was Queen, with Billy Squire as their supporting act, I was only 13 years old. It was awesome! I also remember the pot smoke was so strong I left the show high as a kite! lol It was a different time... In '83 I saw Def Leppard, with Krokus and Gary Moore as their supporting act. Def Leppard was touring on their Pyromania album, Krokus on their Headhunter album and Gary Moore on his Victims of the Future album, wow what an incredible show! Believe it or not, one of the best early shows I saw was 38 Special. That was around '83 or '84... I was a huge Metal fan, but 38 Special was so good they were the ones who actually opened my young mind up to other genres. There is a band I saw a couple of years ago, and it has to be one of the best concerts I've ever seen! They absolutely blew me away! They are playing in New York City on September 15th, you might want to check them out... The band is called NIghtwish, I never heard a better sounding band live. I wish there was a way to PM you with this, but I'll give you a link here to a 2013 show they played at Wacken Open Air in Germany. Very cool that your friend was in Savatage. I lived in the Tampa Bay FL area at the time and they were based out of there. I saw them open up for Maiden at a show in `86/or `87. Great show. The other time I saw Maiden I met Bruce Dickinson at a tv station beforehand, both times I saw them they were great.

Peter Gabriel at the Greek in Berkeley in August of '83. Best show I ever saw. Rush at the Oakland Colosseum Arena in 1986, a close second. King Crimson at the Greek in Berkeley in1984. Yes, pretty much any of the six times I saw them. The Who at the Oakland Colosseum in '82, with the Clash and T-Bone Burnett opening. Any of the other five Rush shows I got to see. Led Zeppelin at the Oakland Colosseum in '77, the first big show I ever saw, before I moved to the East Bay (I was 16). U2 at the Cow Palace in '85, the night they pulled a kid onstage and he played guitar while one by one they all stopped and the kid found himself playing Bono's guitar by himself to a sold out Cow Palace. Any of the other five or six U2 shows. Pink Floyd at the Colosseum Arena on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. The Meat Puppets at the Fillmore in '95. David Bowie on the Serious Moonlight tour. Motorhead at the Town's End club in SF, one of the last shows they ever had there. Any of the Allan Holdsworth's IOU shows. Any of the Steve Morse band's shows, but especially the one at the Omni in Berkeley right after High Tension Wires came out. George Coates' Rare Area, and Actual Sho productions were mind bending. :Primus at the Greek in Berkeley and on NYE at the Kaiser. I think I must be past 25 by now, but The Joy Formidable at a winery in Sonoma in 2015, the first show I managed to attend after my stroke, and man did they bring it to the barn they played in.

Few more just remembered. KANSAS / PALLADIUM ballroom 11-20-1980. Second concert I ever saw and maybe month ago / found it’s a bootlegged CD. And after hearing PETE. I’m by no means a BRUCE fan but in 1985 / I will give credit where credit is due. Lived in California for 4 yrs. saw Springsteen in LA. Played like 4 and half hours. Definitely / puts his whole soul into it. Dio and Dokken November 1984. Old Meadowlands East Rutherford New Jersey with 8 friends. But. Many many more. Thx Pete for letting us retrace good memories!!

If like me, you grew up in the 70s and managed to see live shows from Purple, Zeppelin , Sabbath, The Who, Yes, Pink Floyd., Rainbow...these were hard acts to follow, but the zenith was probably the year 1980...I still have a diary listing over 120 concerts that year...the NWBHM period helped maintain interest in heavy rock...so sad I can’t revisit that special time in my youth and when those bands were at their peak! Great video Pete.

Thanks bro, I LOVED your video, just had the feeling that I spent half an hour discussing with an old pal sharing my musical tastes and experiences. Though I am from Europe (France) I have attended shows of almost all the bands you mentioned. Best show for me was Rush in 2010 in Vegas when they performed Moving Pictures in its entirety.

My first show was the Nuge. He did three shows in Toronto in one year. So the crowd was a little down at 8000 when I went.My best show of all time was Paul on his last tour. But ACDC on For Those About to Rock was great. Neil Young's Trans tour was great for all the fan singing. Tour I wished I saw was ELO in 1976?

I saw some of those tours, including the Jeff Beck/Stevie Ray Vaugh show. Great show. My first show was Styx Pieces of Eight tour, '78 or so? I really am not into Styx anymore. But at the time, it just blew me away and I've been a concert junkie ever since.
