Pete Seeger visits the Bruderhof

Pete,It was so wonderful having you in my life. I only met you once, but I feel I knew you from the music you left. I'm watching this from Oakland Ca on Dr. King's holiday 2022. I sat on Pete's lap as a 3 year old in 1943 and the music flowed out of him and went right through me. I never forgot that and at age 82 I am teaching folk music to families.

Pete Seeger came to my school to sing, back in the 1950's. He brought a steel drum band with him. Great music, from a wonderful man.

oh ich habe pete seeger geliebt . ich habe ihn in ost-berlin in der ddr in den 70 jahren bei festivals des politischen liedes gesehen und kennengelernt . er war oft in ost-berlin . ich war damals zwischen 14 und 20 jahre alt . seit dem habe ich seine songs immer und immer wieder gehört . meine tochter ist nur auch fan von ihm . leider hat sie ihn nicht mehr kennengelernt . vor kurzem habe ich in der basisgemeinde , auch in ost-berlin einige mitglieder vom bruderhof aus england kennengelernt . ich möchte nun auch dort hinfahren , um den bruderhof vor ort kennen zu lernen .

Why do so many of these people young people have such somber looks on their faces? Jesus wants us to be happy! They look like they're afraid to smile. Religious music it's wonderful I love it oh, but there is also other music that is wonderful too. It seems the children are having fun and I see Smiles on their faces but the older young men just seen 2B not having fun at all!
