Pete I seriously think you should release this tune or some variant of it on one of you next albums. This video convinced me years ago to go with this RJM 10 loop switcher! This is hands down the best equipment demo song I’ve heard on KZbin. Thanks for the inspiration and hope to see you live soon!

Still another of my most favorite videos. Imagine just having an album of every song Pete puts together for every video, now that would be just ideal! What I like about this man is he pushes you to new dimensions of your own abilities and getting such a kick out of applications of technique into our very own style, is it any wonder we're all avid subscribers, we well know the reasons, many thanks.

Hey Pete, excellent playing and demo of the PBC. Mine has been flawless since I received it in February while being subjected to over 200 hours of gigging abuse thus far. I have the loops 1-4 in the preamp of a 5150iii, 5-6 have a gate and boost, 5/6 out to EB Volume pedal and back into PBC 7-10 input. then 7-10 time based stuff. Gated full gain volume swells are no problem. Just wanted to share another way that the PBC can be configured. Love your vids, man. Always top notch! .

Great vid, great playing, and super informative! Inspired me to get my own RJM and i'm setting up a board with similar routing. Initial use will be with a single amp but I want to just set my board up once so I can run a power amp for stereo later. Now I need to find out where to get custom insert cables a with 90 degree angle - man it's gonna be tight to fit everything on my board! Hopefully there is minimal or no tweaking needed on the board or when changing from mono to stereo.

Thanks Pete. Love the RJM PBC. Only downside is it's size. But it really does a great job of maintaining the natural tones out of your amp. Personally, I don't mind the footprint - it's the height of the unit. It stands tall so, if it's up front on the pedal board, everything behind it is low making access to them a bit difficult to turn on/off on the fly. But in fairness the unit was developed so that you don't have to do the tap dance. And you can always raise the height of the other pedals. Also, I know you didn't have time on this video, but the editor is great and makes setting up patches very easy. Great review as always!

Hi Pete, sincere thanx on all you do for us Thorn-gazers, you truly inspire man...A question, maybe not a far one, but why nor RJM PBC? I am in the process of buying and on the back your RJM PBC demo I'm leaning towards it but now... Musicomlab mk5 which I was unaware of..., is it down to size in the end for you because they oth seem like GREAT units. Much respect and thank you in advance...

Just a thought about the board. I use a Pedaltrain Pro with two pedal power 2 supplies mounted underneath and an American Loopers patchbox (# 4-JB-ISO) to have a central patch point for my guitar, amp in and effects loop in/out to be able to use my amplifiers preamp. If I plugged my guitar directly into an effect the patchbox could be effects in/out and stereo out instead. Cheers

Hi Pete, thanks for the great explanation of how this board is routed. I had a question regarding amp channel switching... I have 2 Marshalls. A JVM210H and a 410H. Both have midi in and thru. This board's specs list that it is a full featured midi controller that can send any type of midi message... so does that mean I can plug in a midi cable from this board to my midi in on the amp and effectively bypass having to need to use the channel switching inputs from the board? The reason I ask is because I sing lead vocals and play in a Metallica tribute and for my clean guitar sound, I have to tap dance 4 pedals and flick my pickup to the neck position. I'd like to just hit one button on the floor and flick my pickup selector on the guitar. I've done some research on the Voodoo Ground Control + GCX combo as well as the GigRig and MusicomLab Switcher. I like that this board has insert points between the loops for front and back of amp connections. Any thoughts on this question? I have never used midi at all, so I'm pretty ignorant of it, but I know you can change channels on the JVMs by midi. Thanks for your time!

Hey Pete, I'm using a two amp setup similar the way you do with having stereo effects in the effects loop of my main BE100 amps, and going out of last effects loop stereo pedal into loop return of BE100 and Bogner (power amp). I get a little hum. Do you use ground lift or iso box in the amps loops chain? Looking for a better way. Thanks
@secondtribe
@secondtribe 7 жыл бұрын
I'd just like to make sure about one thing you've done here. When you've got jacks inserted in both outputs of Strymons, H9 and M5 and you connect only one amp (let's say - using left signal path in there units) are the sound identical to situation when right outputs are empty? I think it could be strange when you set the parallel dual delay (two different delay times in stereo) in Timeline and you disconnect f.e. right amp. And what about one of the phases of stereo chorus? Dover Drive sounds amazing btw. :) Regards!
