Bloom: the life of a sustained note or chord....basically the longer you hold a note or chord the more it grows, blooms, or breathes....it gets progressively more volume and harmonics..same ballpark as natural feedback, but bloom is more on the actual note and it's harmony than signal distortion and feedback caused by it. Great vid guys!!! Gotta get me the Cleo or the yellow one....fantastic!!

Pete Van Honoré was great, hopefully we got more some day. It's as if turning middle control below noon just doesn't do anything. As if they wanted you to have mids but wanted to give you the illusion of having control. Once again you can hear the dip switch changes the sound on the recorded material, but in the room apparently not.

Sound and options Mesa has always been my personal favorite amp brand, but I have always felt they all kind of look bland or utilitarian. If you took all the badging off you might think it was a Blackstar solid state. So I'm personally hoping that Gibson feedback kind of gives the look a bit of pizazz.

Im guessing it's going to go in the opposite direction, where Gibson brings in Mesa for engineering work on a gibson branded series of amps/pedals, but keeps Mesa-boogie itself mainly self contained. "Gibson by Mesa Boogie" if you will

It's not the feel it's the versatility he's able to take that feeling you're talking about and put it into any genre and something that I constantly strive for as a guitarist a lot of the other guitarists on here have the shortcoming of focusing their mind on one genre and biasing all letters when Pete's mindset is to complete opposite that's why he shines

To me, Rabea takes the lead just slightly. Might have to do with the fact that I like a modern style of playing, but that isn't all he does. He is seriously just so versatile as well. The Gold Mine dip switch is probably to switch between a tight bass end and a flubby, vintage Marshall one when chugging. I use Marshalls for hard rock and metal and pretty much always have my SD-1 on as a clean boost to tighten up the low end. So I assume one is that tighter chug and the other is the flubby vintage chug. Just so happens the passages Pete was playing didn't really highlight that difference I guess?

I like Andertons but doing your homework before a presentation is essential . The dynaplex ( clue in name ) is a plexi style and is the medium output of the pedals shown. It’s going for the plexi tone upto jcm800 ish and the gold mine is the heaviest gain one here which goes against what in video. The Cleo a pumped up tube screamer. I’m all for selling items but pls give people the correct info when doing so

M-a-e-s-a with a long A sound if it's an Alta California derived word ... And likely as a Calif based company they are pulling from that direction. Like a cowboy riding across the mesa ... Anyway, Pete found his EVH tones on the Goldmine - well done : -) They all sound good and seem to react to the instruments being put in. And that raises another shootout - which pedals are input impedance sensitive, and which not so much ??

Through hole boards are perhaps easier to repair, but there's nothing inherently better about them. Both Josh at JHS and Brain at Wampler found that SMT was more reliable, better sounding, and lower noise, and that's why they decided to go with that on all their pedals, after building some samples using SMT and comparing them to their same pedals with through hole construction.
