From the classic, iconic epsiode "Dough Re Mi", where the kids save up for some precious time in a recording studio, and when they show up at the place to sing, somehow there is magically a backing track playing with all the necessary band instruments ... to go along with their vocals on Greg's song. Only on television, folks, ha ha haa! Love it.

Along those lines, in the Davy Jones episode, he shows up at the Brady house to present Marcia with a copy of the album he recorded earlier that same day. That must have been world-record speed for production.

I believe that the version we hear on the TV episode is slightly different from the Brady Kids' studio version of it, which doesn't include a lyrical reference (sung by Marcia) to boys' voices changing as they grow. And of course Peter isn't squeaking into the mic like he did in the sitcom episode's recording studio, LOL. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6CYeaFroq-amdU

Florence Henderson is "Carol's actress". Originally she was a musical actress before doing the classic sitcom, very wholesome type of entertainer. Later in life she became a cooking icon and sold a lot of instructional recipe books. I met her at a Borders Books once in 2002 when she did a signing event. Such a warm, nice lady. She signed my 1998 Brady Bunch wall calendar. I should have asked to keep the Sharpie pen, LOL. They usually have a box of them at those gatherings.

:D The Brady Bunch wasn't a show that would delve into big talks about puberty and the body. It was a fantasy show. But, yes, they could have included a little scene with the folks and Peter where they tell him that boys from age 12 through 15 have many physical changes happening--- including a voice cracking period.
@RBS_10 ай бұрын
@@eduardo_corrochio ...that's what I meant....the 'Car' scene would've been the perfect moment to 'hint' at those changes that a Boy goes through (and Carol & Mike have to discuss); It also could've set the bar high for the Show, educating Parents to KNOW when that moment arrives, that they HAVE to talk about....Boys AND Girls.... ; ) ....
@eduardo_corrochio10 ай бұрын
@@RBS_ Absolutely right. Perfect moment, with just the three of them in a quiet place to chat about it. A big missed opportunity there for sure. But I suspect that the wrtiers must have had some kind of line that they never crossed because it would take the audience out of the fun and goofy shenanigans. Too close to reality for The Brady Bunch, I guess, to tell a boy that this is just one thing that the teen years will bring ... along with a lurchy stage (growth spurt), among other wacky changes!
@AndrewMacLaine10 ай бұрын
1. Alice was already downstairs and close to where the boys keep their baseball equipment. Also, it wasn't the only time Mike went down stairs unarmed to investigate a noise and ended up meeting a family member holding the same baseball bat lol! 2. He got the birds and bees talk off camera, it was indicated in another episode when Greg mentioned "the talk" indicating Peter needs to have it, and Mike responded, "he knows". Plus, Peter wasn't trying to resist maturing, he just didn't want to sound bad for Greg's song. 3. He was howling in the backyard thinking if he used his voice enough, it would finish changing and it wouldn't crack anymore. He explains this when the parents and Alice meet him outside and ask why he's doing it.
