"ah these are the good old days" get such fucking massive chills when he sings that at the end. there's so much feel in his voice.

What more can you ask for when you go to a gig, true, honest feelings. Ya it's sad, but it's also brilliant because it's so raw and in your face. One more reason I like Pete, he never hides how he really feels. I love Carl as well because he sort always keeps it together. That's why they fit so well, until of course it all spilled over.

You said everything I feel about this video. so raw and painful to watch, and yet. Peter comes back to apologize poor Carlos left to keep playing through. Their songs are really honest reflections of their lives. Compelling to see such emotional honesty

it's one of the saddest things i've ever seen... Those emotions, this love & fury at the same time. "can't stand me now". It's all about how drugs can ruin your life and your friendship. But now, there's Time For Heroes once again! Reading & Leeds'10! Up the Albion!

you can see that pete was so upset... i think he must've just realised what the lyrics were saying and the inevitable...

Ever the professional that Pete. Putting his hurt feelings before the enjoyment of the 5000 people that had paid to see the Libertines. Kudos

"It was an awquard song to sing. One time Pete thought I looked at him funny during that song. And he put down his guitar .. Through* down his guitar, kicked the amp over and took off down the street." _ Carl "It had taken six seven years for him to say it but then he said it, "cant stand you now" We've used each other, got here, but beneeth it all you're not my mate." _ Pete

I've just researched this video after reading Pete's book: Last of the Rock Romantics. Apparently he carved a cross into his chest backstage and reappeared dripping with blood?
@aspiringtentacle6 жыл бұрын
It's not Peter's book, it is a biography by Alex Hannaford

Sad to see for sure. Did Peter throw something at Carl when he came back out? I see somethign fly by... Glad those two are coming around. Two strong front men that made GREAT music together. I think they were miserable w/eachother for a while but twice as miserable without eachother. Growing up and realizing what they created together. Hope we get lots more of them in the years to come!

Also detailed in the book "Pete Doherty - Last of the Rock Romantics" by Alex Hannaford, which I recommend. It cuts thru the tabloid lies and is endorsed (via forward) by mum JackieD. NOT SPAM--GREAT READ!!
