@skyracer8249 The only villains he’s fought are Bullseye and Shocker so far and they were not even the focus of those issues so far. Peter’s personal life is completely different with him being married with kids and having his Uncle Ben still alive. Green Goblin is completely different being a hero and a Harry Osborn married to Gwen Stacy. Jameson leaves the Daily Bugle in issue one to start a new newspaper studio with Uncle Ben. Peter gets his powers from being granted them from Tony Stark in a world without heroes instead of the chance radioactive spider bite. The issue where Peter fought Shocker was more focused on him learning to be a new hero and getting hold of his powers. The issue where he fought Bullseye is more focused on Peter meeting the Green Goblin and his relationship with his daughter. So the villains obviously won’t be very fleshed out. Plus there’s only five issues out so far so they haven’t had much time to differentiate from 616 much. And every supporting character such as Harry Osborn, Uncle Ben, J. Jonah Jameson, and Gwen Stacy have been completely different than what we’re used to in the Spider-Man mythos. And yeah of course he’s going to fight the same villains, it’s a reinvention of the typical Spider-Man mythos so he’s going to fight reinvented versions of his regular rogues gallery. And saying he does the same things isn’t really an argument because the only thing he’s done the same is fighting crime and of course he’s going to fight crime, it’s a superhero comic. Additionally Spider-Man comics have been bad for ages and Spider-Man fans have been wanting a grown up Peter Parker married to MJ and this is exactly what people have been wanting.
