@crazyman7671 Жыл бұрын
Well I heard one thing rumored and would have been AMAZING and fulfilled Future Angela's statement about Peter being the "most powerful of them all(or something like that)" was that when he injected the formula to save Nathan, he would have been able to replicate powers by not only physical contact and keep them to use later(similar to his mimicry power use. But storing them when physically making contact with someone), but he would have his Dads power theft abilities, but would "fix" Sylars Intuitive Aptitude power to where he could use it without the hunger and basically "correct him" but in a pleasant way that allows him to be Peter's partner in the future. And yes. Nathan would still be alive.

This is where Heroes lost its charm in my opinion. If things HAD to change regarding Peter’s powers, he should have absorbed his father’s ability, so even if he lost everything else, he soon discovered he had Arthur’s power, but due to Peter being able to connect to others, the power swiftly changed: Peter now possessed a weaker version of Arthur’s ability, yet UNLIKE Arthur, if Peter absorbs someone else’s power, they do not lose it, and neither does he, and Peter’s version of absorption is like ability replication in that the person doesn’t feel anything when their power is taken. That would have been much better.

You might think that this moment ruined the whole series. But not really. The authors left loopholes, at least 3. Peter, even at the end of season 4, can regain all or almost all of his strength. How? Method 1 - he can copy Sylor's original ability and, through Matt Parkman, understand from Sylor how to launch and use them. Or, through Matt Parkman's son, he can regain his original power (since the son has the ability to turn on what is dead). Or 3 way - Peter can ask Hiro to go back in time, but in order not to break the chronology - Hiro must go to the hospital where young Peter donated blood (the disappearance of the test tube will not affect the passage of time). Hiro then returns to the present and asks Mohinder to create an "empathy expander" based on Peter's young blood.

But they didnt do any of this though. They could've given peter back his base power at square 1, with any method they wanted and it would've saved the show. They chose the absolute dumbest way for him to lose his powers and it hurt them bad.
@DmitryNesterof Жыл бұрын
@@popcornlieutenant Yeah. It is clear that they did it for balance. But! It's one thing when a person with abilities just appears and sorts out his problems (ie, more mundane superheroics). Another thing is when he learns to develop his strength and for this he has to change his consciousness. Become something more than just a person and even a superhero. In films and serials of various kinds, Gods are often presented as negative characters. But what if Tim Kring developed the idea in a positive way that every person is destined to become God sooner or later (that this is achievable). In the movie "Wonder Woman 1984" they partially beat this moment very well, when all people were given the opportunity to fulfill their desires (ie, create with the power of thought). It was clear that people were not ready for this, that it was necessary to change their consciousness. Yes, all this leads more into philosophy than superheroes. But it would be something fresh, in the modern world of clichés for all sorts of superpowers. Because it's not just entertainment with specials. effects, but makes you think about something very important, deep.

This was the biggest bullshit ever. They clearly had not enough writer's intelligence to handle Peter as his principle power and the amount of powers he absorbed clearly made it too difficult for the mediocre writing stuff to make him work. So they deux ex machina-ed him out of the way and ruined him. Funny enough, Sylar, even though dead at the end of season 1 and brought back by orders of the studio executives, never got that treatment. Sylar got away with everything and they found one dumb plot device after another to make him / keep him "popular". What a shitshow. For anybody who doesn't know: Season 2 was not written and not conducted by the show creator as he was part of a big writer's strike. He literally lost 100% control over his show and he kept writing to producers and studio executives what they were doing wrong etc. with not effect by the way. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Heroes are ridiculously bad, cringe, cliché and outright boring. They fell into any writing trap possible: bringing back the dead villain Sylar, bringing back the dad who was said to be dead, then creating a second OG Peter Petrelli (Super-Sylar) by NULLIFYING the entire first season and ALL of its plots and points (Save the Cheerleader, Save the World...not letting Sylar gain Claire's overpowered power), etc. etc. Heroes Season 1 was a good standalone take on the superhero genre, the rest is a dumpster fire and outright trash. But that was the fault of the original show creator as well, at least in parts, because: If you undertake such a concept of a show with so many characters, separate plotlines which need to converge and powers who clearly have a scale from useless to OP, then you need to write a rather detailed and exhaustive synopsis of the entire show including a timeline and a plan on where and how to end it. You need to think through major basic problems like Peter Pitrelli who by the end of season 1 was the most powerful hero. If you don't outline this you are prone to repeat the X-FILES FALLACY of neverending meandering stupid writing instead of working against a fixed end point. The show creator clearly had no plan for after season 1. So him complaining about all the bullshit that happened during the strike is bigotry. Had he planned better, then the emergency writing team would have not derailed the entire show in a few episodes with a few dumb ideas. Another dumb idea was giving Sylar the same ability of S1 Peter Petrelli. I will never understand why they gave up the serial killer concept and trying to make him a good guy. Obviously he was very popular with the audience. Still totally stupid and one reason to ruin the show and to nullify entire seasons and plotlines. Heroes is like Westworld. It has 1 season. The rest we don't speak of. The rest is garbage.

Man Peter was so OP, bursts in invisible with lightning hands.

They should've made 2 things. First, Peter's only weakness is that he can only use ONE power at a time but whilst idle he's always got cellular regeneration on. Second, when his dad stole his powers, he should've only took the powers which he didn't already have and left Peter with some powers like cellular regeneration etc. It made ZERO sense he could steal the same power twice 🤣

It makes perfect sense. The father's ability is to steal someone's powers
@anthonygarvia3147 Жыл бұрын
wont work....look at Peter's OG power as the foundation of a house....and cellular regen is one structural support beam...lightining is another.....fllight is the roof.... etc. if you rip away the foundation then the support beams and the roof can't stand on its own....so he took away only his OG power....which came with all of the other ones

This was the dumbest scene in television history. You take one of the greatest characters in a dying show and reduce him to nothing by having his powers taken in one of the most pathetic ways imaginable. A HUG ! 😂😂 The you double down on this mistake by forcing the greatest character to take a synthetic drug that allows him to steal a single power at a time depending on which plot point the writers would need to fill. Good one!

People let's be serious, Peter was getting extremely powerful after he also learned how to access the ability of Intuitive Aptitude, which greatly enhanced all of his powers too, so Peter's powers had to be limited to a certain extent. I am the minority here who truly believed that his new ability of replication which he acquired later was just fine.
